Getting a bunch of texts from scouts at UW & it sounds like Sidney Jones suffered a significant lower leg injury. Feel terrible for him

Ball velocity numbers (MPH) from the Combine:

60 - Mahomes
59 - Webb
56 - Kizer
55 - Trubisky, Evans
53 - Peterman, Kaaya
49 - Watson
Mahomes tied the combine record.
Only two under 55 have been successful in the NFL since it started being recorded. Dak Prescott(one year) at 54 and Tyrod Taylor at 50. Both were throwing with tweaked shoulders at the time. Notable players under it who could break the trend are AJ McCarron(53), Mike Glennon 49, and Brett Huntley (53). Notables at 55-56 are Flacco, Russell Wilson, Mariota(56) and Jameis.

A 2 MPH difference is 3 feet on a 20 yard throw in the same time frame.

Also a fun table for success rate:

From r/cfb

Rag arm Kellen Moore got 52 mph FWIW

Watson might have just had a dead arm that day, but he should definitely do it again.  That number and the INTs is going to turn off some teams, especially those in colder climates.

I'm hoping that 49 mph number is close to reality for neck. Dude will be food in them Chicago winds

Teddy was the 1st name i went lookint for..

Surprised goff's was that high

Meh... I them to trade back.
This draft is soooooo deep defensively as well as with Tight Ends, Running Backs and has a good stash of interior lineman. This draft is mad deep with talent.

Grab one or two extra picks would be great. Then draft Reddick for the Strong Side LB position. They only person I would stay at 22 for is Derek Barnett.

You really think they'd use a first round pick on a guy that would ride the bench this year? You guys use two TE sets a lot and you'll have those top three guys taking up most of the WR time on the field.

I think they see how things play out with those guys this year and then draft one next year. Would just be pointless to draft basically a redshirt WR with your first rounder.

I wouldn't assume Jordan Matthews is here next season and with Alshon's injury record its not the worst idea, I am more partial to a CB, RB or DL now though.

I could easily see them taking Corey or Ross in the first, why not. Don't have to rely on him, give him a year to learn routes and such behind decent enough WRs.
