Do you think music influences kids at all or in any way? VOL....mom finds sons playlist

Haha I remember when flesh of my flesh blood of my blood came out. Me and my boy were slappin it, as soon as "I got blood on my **** cuz I ****** a corpse.." His mom came in snatched that ****

It does influence and you gotta be a fool to think otherwise.

I wonder how many kids try to do gangsta **** by bangin 21 savage.

Cant stop your kid from what they wana listen to in 2016 tho.

Yes, music is influuential...but like everything else its just a small piece of the pie as to what influences people..

There's a reason u listen to Marvin or R.Kelly when u tryna set the mood....

There's a reason u listen to chief keef or flocka when u about to go ride out or hit a lick...

There's a reason ur gym playlist is turn up music...conversely, there's a reason u listen to Curren$y when ur winding down burning one...

It influences the impressionable. Folks willing to die over rap lyrics and rappers who don't know them is pathetic.

Been waiting for this thread.

Let's back up a step and just talk about sound and ALL HUMAN BEINGS for a second.

The problem is...ya'll are approaching the topic with logic that isn't rooted in science.

You can't ask a question and formulate a hypothesis without research. We all learned the scientific method in grade school. No?

How can ANYONE even began to talk about Music when you don't even really know what sound is?

I mean if youre going to go THERE yea theres many levels.

Im sure an individual at a beethoven concert may have been profoundly overcome with inspiration and emotion to the point where it influenced his life etc etc ..........

But theres negative influences that i feel the media tries to push as well.

Also cats who try to imitate what theyre not.

As far as OP, I love seeing adults completely forget what their parents thought of their music/culture growing up.

I'll admit I don't understand what these young dudes see in Lil Yachty's/Desiigners of the world but I let em rock.

I just make fun of them

I don't doubt that one bit.

I'm simply trying to establish a proper base for this discussion, so that we all can have a proper understanding of what it is we're talking about.

Of course it does. To what magnitude though, that differs from person to person.

Food, other cultures, pollution, whatever is around you can influence you. No matter how big or small, it still an influence. Basically anything "new" can.

You must be great at parties.

I believe feed your soul, eventually too much of it will influence something about you...
You have no idea how right you are.

When I was a freshman in highschool I bought this lil MP3 player and filled it to maximum capacity of boosie albums n mix tapes

Suddenly,I wanted to pack a 40 glock, rock coogi, throw powder in my chest ,slang dough and swerve in those ugly four door chargers.

I'm glad I recognized that ain't for me when I was younger .

I had to fall back hard.

Short answer is yes.

Glad there were some smart rappers for me to listen to growing up :smokin
