The LOX - Filthy America...It's Beautiful [December 16th]

Some cool songs but Sheek sounds kind of uninspired.  Maybe I'll change my mind if I listen more.  
 
Sheek has to be one of the most under appreciated rappers ever. From the Internet to real life people always trying to **** on the homie like he's the weakest link. Lol it's always been styles, Sheek, then jada for personal enjoyment of verses for me which I'm sure is a very unpopular opinion. Arguably has two of my favorite verses ever with reservoir dogs and ******* from eastwick.

This album was a solid surprise IMO. I didn't know what to expect since they hadn't dropped a group album in so long but outside of 3 tracks I like what they brought to the table.

Glad to see them use a Preem track!

I see no lies...

Louch isn't "better than" the other 2 but his energy/style complements them perfectly.

At this point I'm their careers he's the most listenable.

Jadakiss has been rapping the same verse for the last decade. That 2 syllable yell flow Styles has been using since that BMF verse annoys me, so yeah... in 2016, Sheek is the most listenable as far as I'm concerned.
 
Production was very underwhelming , few decent tracks but some were absolute trash. Only got one spin from me didn't like it tbh. Huge lox fan also was hype for this album.
 
It's very difficult for me to get past the sheek verses and terrible production. You would think after all these years sheek would be hip to not being on the same level and just fade away. Back and forth J&P over solid production is what everybody has wanted forever and they just fall short every time.
 
Gave this another listen, and pretty much feel the same about it. Filthy America is a fantastic track and everything you want to hear from LOX, as well as The Agreement and Move Forward. I also went back to listen to We Are The Streets, and it's funny that people have been dissing Sheek for years, and of the 3, his voice hasn't changed at all. He sounds pretty much just like he did in 97. Definitely makes him a lot more listenable than Jadakiss currently tbh
