My bredren just sent me a pic of his newborn, now I want one...

Wait OP, what.

You don't just "do it" bruh. Its a gotdamn thought process.

Do you have a woman? You can't just be not pulling out on these broads

Are you guys married/in a long term serious relationship? Does she want kids? She ultimately has to sign off on it. Can't just drop some kids off in her guts

Are you prepared for a life where you come 2nd to the needs of someone else for at least the next 18-20some odd years?

I love being a dad, wouldn't trade it for anything, but unless its a "surprise" you got some questions to ask yourself first, b

Also, don't just want a kid because your mans got one. Males shouldn't be jealous thats a female trait
We're in a very serious relationship. We're at the stage of considering moving in together.

And my pockets don't agree with my intentions.
I'm 27 and immature as hell. i'm not ready for a kid until 38+....
This too. Same age and everything, but idk about 38+. Maybe 31-32. That's what I always envisioned.

On the other hand, why wait? ____'s have babies everyday, b.

If an internet message board says you're ready, then you're ready.

...but really tho, since you asked, let's try a thought experiment...

okay, so it looks pretty cool, right? colorful, vibrant, a true expression of love for a concept.

a willingness to wear a time in your life forevermore. it's visible as hell too, it's right on the side of his neck.

you admire what you see in it and understandably want one too.

thing is, that's on him the rest of his life...I assume he thought carefully about it, considered the range of predictable and unpredictable effects on his life and lifestyle.

after all, what's an attractive conversation piece for some might be a total deal-breaker for others, and the jobs/partners/opportunities available to him will be permanently altered by this effectively irreversible decision.

he, evaluating his whole scenario, has made his peace with the possible results.

so dig it, you may look at his eye-catching image and imagine a similar picture for yourself, but as far as I can see, you haven't put nearly as much thought into it.

sure, tattoos can be great--well, they're for some people and not for others, especially before or after a certain age--but as evidenced by the number of ink-removal shows on cable, many people regret getting one, or at least getting one under the circumstances they did.

in most cases, a good long think about it would have told them it was a pretty bad idea in that particular time and place, with that particular inspiration.

I know I have a personal rule that I think about tats for at least 6 months prior to getting repeatedly stabbed with my vision--after all, even if I could have it removed, the process would be more painful than getting tatted in the first place.

I guess what I'm saying is I would consider the gravity of the situation for at least that long.

I've tweaked, amended or deleted many an ink idea during these review periods, and sometimes looking back a few years I can't imagine what the **** I was thinking for even toying with a particular idea.

you don't want to have that realization once all the ink's dry, eh?

tldr: stop, think about it.

I want to know my partner for several years before i'm sure she's the one i want to spend the rest of my life with.

My kid will be 18 when I'm 38......
Her and I gonna travel the world even more.

Me having more kids will ruin all that.

Damn bro. i see you. Just one kid is straight. I want about 3-4.

Yea, you'll regret it bruh, society aint built for people w/ kids. Childcare is mad expensive, clothing, time, etc. Once you're in it you make the best of it but everything changes in an instance.

This world/country is effed up and I don't see it getting any better. Not even sure if I want to put kids into this world.
