I'm okay with the sock lining since you can barely see the stripes on feet. I'm gonna get those over the Rip City and CNY.
 
I really think adidas did a terrible job on miadidas options for the Lillard 2. Especially for the Jaquard upper. I saw maybe 1-2 good looking miadidas Lillard 2 CW. That Jaquard upper with the squared dots ruined it IMO. Hopefully the Dame 3 will have better upper to choose from.
 
I'm getting these only from the BHM collection. Is there one for the CLB16?

Don't understand how d rose 7 still is being pushed in collections like these. Especially with his latest no-show episode this week, and even a story how he co soldered retirement. Just strange in a way.

Yeah. Kind of like how Nightwing mentioned the CE should've been named the Ultra Boost Basketball... Adi must of looked back and could've not used this silhouette on d rose in a way.
 
Well part of it is they released the shoes already.  I doubt he gets re-upped with another big contract from one of the big 3.

It's not like the Kobe trial situation where they put his sig. line on hold until everything blew over.  People forget the 2K4 was supposed to be the real Kobe I.

To me, the best days of the Rose line were way back when the Supernatural Creator/Rose 1 were out.  It's a little sad looking back that those are still my favorites, but I haven't tried the Rose 7 yet.  I guess the same could be said about the Kobe line and my favorites being the V and VI.
 
Yeah interesting point. Especially about the 2K4. But right, Rose won't be renewed and I expect the 7 to be the last.

Rose signed a 13 year deal in 2012. Unless they release him based on his morals clause, he isn't going anywhere. Maybe not Sig worthy, but he is still adidas.

Agreed. Sig worthy is the appropriate way to phrase that. 13 year deal, dang.

The Dame 3 Chinese New Year colorway? It's already out. Very limited in select Asian countries though (afaik Philippines and Hong Kong). I really need that cw.
 
Who cares if Rose is not the MVP Rose. As long as adidas makes good shoes I dont think it matters who's name is on the shoe. But does Rose deserve a signature? No. But he has a contract with adidas until 2025 iirc. They could just give him PE of a model with dded signture details and release them (NY CW are usually nice). He can then share a model with Lowry, etc. I know kids buy into their favorite player's shoes and having a signature helps boost their sales somewhat.. Melo is a fan favorite and so is Chris Paul but their sognaturea dont sell.. I woild love to see the sale numbera of mid-tier shoe sales like hyperdunk, CLB16 vs signature.
 
I'd like to see numbers too because while CLBs seems to sell well, they also aren't in every store like most Nikes. I am in the LA area and it's a struggle to find most of the Adidas BBall shoes in-store to try on.

Then you also see some of the newer colorways go on sale much quicker than usual so I am also curious if that is Adidas just seeing it not moving quick enough or something else.
 
Honestly, basketball shoes are completely sucking in sales right now. There is no real connection in advertising, even pro athletes aren't as revered as they were 10 years ago, so name alone doesn't do it anymore. There is no reason for the KD9 to be on sale for $75 this soon. Same with the Jordan XXXI for $116 last week. It's because marketing the signature athlete doesn't matter anymore, and NO ONE buys team shoes from retail stores like foot locker.

If they aren't flames on twitter/IG, worn by ASAP whoever or Migos or Kanye, they aren't worth having.
