Hard to believe this was a decade ago...

:pimp:

I can't remember if it was a game thread or a Lakers team thread...but going in there afterwards (as a Wizards fan) was like trying to fight off a swarm of bees while covered in honey. The bitterness was epic  Gil was on something else.

Gerald Wallace :smh:

They weren't the only haters:

"He doesn't seem to have much of a conscience. I really don't think he does. Some of the shots he took tonight, you miss those, and they're just terrible shots. Awful. You make them and they're unbelievable shots. I don't get a chance to play him much, so I haven't gotten used to that mentality of just chucking it up there."- Kobe

Agent Zero :pimp:

My buddy and I went to a Lakers/Grizzlies games a few years back when he was on the squad and we started yelling Hibachi, Agent Zero, etc and he actually said what up and threw us one of his shoes after the game  it was a llimited Sony and/or Playstation shoe that said "sample" on the inside. I'll try and find it and send a pic. He was already one of my favorite players and after that itll never change :pimp:

My buddy went to UCLA so we yelled some **** at OJ Mayo (USC) making fun of how he got caught for roids and had the entire Grizz bench laughing

Good times.

Man, I was at this game and it was so good. Gil was my second favorite player behind kobe, so seeing them go at it all night was awesome. I think Kobe had 45 also that night? The one thing I remember was Brian Cook hitting a 3 to send it to OT and as soon as he got ready to shoot my brother and I were both like "nooooo....YES!"

 that quote was what did it

Also, if I remember correctly, I think Gil left his shoes at center court after the game was over  :pimp:
