Peets black coffee 2x a day at work. Starbucks black on weekends. Black Iced coffee during the summer months.

Coffee is the best pre-workout and great dietary supplement.

Don't like the pod coffee, but will drink if necessary.

I personally don't drink coffee much, but when I do make it at home.

CAcafe+all-natural+gourmet+coconut+coffee

this stuff is the goods :pimp:

I have this on my desk right now

Got a Nespresso at home which I use every morning. Good quality espresso and unbeatable convenience.

Have a French press which I love as well. If I'm not in a rush sitting down to enjoy a cop of coffee is the best.

Oakland's Blue Bottle Coffee and Highwire Coffee my go to for beans. :pimp:

I've heard about this. Still got to give it a try.

I also dabble in espresso and do Turkish coffee too.

BE CAREFUL WITH THE MCT/COCONUT OIL!!

ive been doing bullet proof coffee for awhile now and when i first started, my stomach used to get mad upset after a cup. I thought it was because of the butter because i literally never use butter for anything so i just thought i wasnt used to it, kinda like how if you eat really healthy for a while and then you eat junk food and then get an upset stomach. but its the mct oil.

i cant speak for everybody, but starting out, for a lot of people, you will get a nauseous feeling

Damn and I thought I went in..You guys go ham with the caffeine..I am completely addicted. Question for you guys though, do you get heart flutters? I use to get them bad and I cut down on my intake and they are very far in between.

Coffee thread? :nerd:

I prefer cold brew to hot coffee. But I enjoy both. I usually take it just black. I really like Stumptown's cold brew you can buy in the bottle, Chameleon also has a really good cold brew as well. They have a french vanilla coffee that tastes like the highest quality dark chocolate you'll ever eat.

Anyone have recommendations on what beans/brands to use for cold brew at home?

alright guys so, for the cold brew i make, this is what i do.

-1lb of whole bean coffee (medium roast)
-1gal of spring water (please dont use tap)
- 2 of the Biggest mason jar you have. or any liquid container than can hold 1 gal of liquid.
-Patience (24hrs worth)
-mesh strainer
-coffee filter/cheese cloth
-Must filter the coffee TWICE you'll understand why.

I always go medium roast because the steeping process will bring out potential flavors of the beans and its usually VERY strong.
I've only done this with Peet's Ethiopian but any brand you like is fine.

First things first. I'd buy whole bean coffee in a medium roast then coarse grind the coffee myself. If you do happen to coarse grind, start the process as soon as you get home.
In the jar, put about a third of the coffee grinds in then add some of the water from the gallon.
Now stir and let it steep for about 5-10minutes.
when the time is up, you can put the rest in and you dont have to wait for 10min intervals.
If the jar cant fit the entire gallon in there, its fine.
Once all of the contents are in, stir the jar for a bit to get the process going.
At this point, put it in your fridge for 24hrs (i actually set a timer on my phone ). every 4-6 hrs I like to take the jar out and stir the contents in between

This is when you would filter the first time:
when the 24hrs is up, use another jar (again, anything that can hold the contents of what youre gonna be pouring out) and a fine mesh strainer/sieve.
with the sieve over the second jar, pour the cold brew into it so you can filter out the coffee grinds
dont press on the grinds, just simply fold it over to get the extra brew out.

Second/final filter:
once the steps above is done, filter again.
but this time insert a coffee filter/cheese cloth in the sieve (i think the cheese cloth would be faster and easier)
the purpose of the cheese cloth is to get rid of the extra sediment the coffee might have picked up from the first strain.
this sediment is very bitter and you dont want to have it ruin your entire batch. trust me, i learned from my first time :x

you should be good to go.
this cold brew method works perfectly for me but if you feel like you want to do things differently, go ahead  but i think its perfect
you can actually taste the natural sweetness and oils from the cold brew if you drink it straight up (i only add a lil raw sugar)
so earlier, when i said that if you cant fit the entire gallon, its alright. Once you've filtered the second time, youll notice how the jar would have more room to add the remaining water. however, this is optional because it may dilute your coffee depending on how strong you want it (caffeine content is very high at this point, trust me) I always dilute anyways.

the batch should be good for up til a week and a half imo, depending on how much/often you drink coffee

there you have it, so much money saved. sorry for the long read guys.

i tried stumptown cold brew for the first time when i went to shake shack. they sell their cold brews by the bottle. needless to say, it was pretty good. but then again it would have been a lot better if it was a fresh batch of cold brew straight from your own kitchen. so far, Ive only tried Peet's ethiopian. i like it.

My cousins live in Tacoma, WA so i might have them ship me over some coffee from starbucks since theyre not too far from pike's.

I know this feeling too well when I eat really clean. Just your body rejecting the garbage.

Will start bullet proof coffee when cutting season comes around, but thanks for the tip.

Became hooked to coffee this semester. Lots of cream and sugar.

Been looking into potentially getting a Keurig. Is a french press a better option to get?
Seems kinda situational.

If you like flavored stuff (and sugary, from what you typed), maybe Keurig is for you.

French press you can still add the flavored stuff too, but it'll have a more rich coffee taste (obviously depends on how much water is inside).

French press is legit

I don't own one, usually grab Tim Hortons but a breakfast spot does illy traditional coffee or French press, tried it one day. So damn rich and tasty, I like cream and sugar but it was very good, still add your stuff but you guys more off a better/diff coffee taste
