Not a great day for Delta Airlines...Legit Racism? Prank? Who knows....

I initially saw this story earlier today, and was appalled. There have been numerous innocent people racially profiled by airlines, customers, etc. while trying to fly. However, as more details about this story started to leak, some information came out about Saleh. He's got a big youtube following for his pranks. He's pulled stunts before on airlines for page views. It's REALLY hard to give this dude the benefit of the doubt due to what he does for attention. I'm just thinking of the chain reaction here...you got people probably changing airlines/flights due to what they heard about this story today. It's obviously lost business for Delta. If it is found out to be some sort of prank, can the Airlines do anything to him legally for the bad publicity? At the bottom of the blurb is a link where you can watch the video of Saleh getting kicked off the flight.

YouTube celebrity Adam Saleh, whose prank videos have garnered him a significant online following, has accused Delta Air Lines of kicking him off flight because he spoke Arabic to his mom on the phone before takeoff.

In a statement, Delta said:

“Maintaining a safe, comfortable and orderly onboard environment is paramount for every flight and requires the cooperation of all of our customers in conjunction with adherence to directions from our crew members. This is a Delta policy and is required by U.S. regulations as well as others governing aviation worldwide.

“Two customers were removed from Delta flight 1 departing London-Heathrow today after a disturbance in the cabin resulted in more than 20 customers expressing their discomfort.

“We have spoken with the customers who were removed; they were rebooked on another flight. Plans are in place to immediately speak with our crew and other passengers when the flight lands this afternoon. We will provide an update once we have more information.”

Saleh has more than 1.6 million subscribers to his TrueStoryASA YouTube channel, and more than 2.2 million subscribers to his Adam Saleh Vlogs YouTube channel. Saleh’s YouTube channels are full of prank videos as well as videos about Muslim life, and he is a self-described “professional idiot.”

In an interview with CBSN, Saleh said he takes numerous flights every month, and he was upset because something like this never happened before.

“I speak to my mom on the phone every flight,” Saleh said. “She only speaks Arabic.”

He said when he was speaking to her, a woman in the seat in front of him turned around and told him he ought to speak English. Saleh said he told her he can speak whatever language he likes, and her husband responded by standing up and screaming at him.

Then about 20 people allegedly said they were uncomfortable with Saleh and his Arabic-speaking companion. The pair were approached by the captain, who Saleh said “seemed ashamed and embarassed” when he asked them to leave the plane because of the other passengers’ complaints.

There's more to the story. It takes a lot to remove someone from an aircraft after they've boarded.
 
They have removed people before under similar circumstances and it is deplorable, word to HC. They also can remove people who appear intoxicated, look unhealthy and various other reasons. Regardless, it is wrong to get someone kicked out based on ethnicity. The guy doing multiple videos makes his situation look less credible. It could've been a great lesson to the old, full of fear and hate. :lol:

Definitely gotta have cultural out reach in the US. Let people learn from people.

Usually I'd side with the customer, but based on this dude's Fouseytubish lifestyle, he most likely did something obnoxious for attention and aggravated other passengers/airline staff until he got kicked off. I remember Fousey did something like this with the police and posted it on NT for attention, talking about how he was profiled, when in reality he was just being a complete idiot

Exact same sentiments. That screencap of his Youtube page does not exactly help his case either.
 
The guy's social media persona makes me reluctant to give him any benefit of the doubt. Seems like an obvious angle to get more views on his channel. Who knows though, I guess.

I knew nothing about this dude before hand so I assumed it was real. AFter learning about who he is what he does, I too have my suspicions about what really transpired on that plane. I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing some obnoxious stuff and was asked to leave as a result, then chose to say it was solely based off him speaking in his native tongue.

The problem here is that this kind of thing is not far fetched for America, so it is easy to believe that could have happened to him. I hope this isn't a prank, b/c when something real happens to him nobody will give a ****.
 
Ugh it sucks I'm reluctant to believe that was the reason he got kicked off because he reminds me a lot of Fousey....these YouTube dudes would go to extremes for views and I wouldn't put a prank like this past them, is very easy to get kicked off a plane, on my way back from DR a lady with a cast clearly in pain and frustrated because of a delay, caught an attitude with the attendant and he had her kicked off the plane, once they say "you getting off" there is no going back, so is very easy to purposely get kicked off with the intent of making it a racial thing, in order to make a viral video and that's the extremes these cats are willing to go to....

If it's real, hope Delta gets sued HEAVY.

If it's fake, I hope Delta sues this clown for this fake campaign that can cost them millions.

I personally hope it's fake, for a couple of reasons...for one I hate to have more evidence of what an ignorant/racist country I live in and two I'd love to see these YouTube pranksters get screwed for pulling these corny pranks thinking there is no repercussions....dude picked to prank a multimillion dollar airline....not very smart.
 
Personally I think it's fake or he's exaggerating greatly. If he was intentionally trying to rustle jimmies, he deserved to be kicked off the plane and sued.
 
I wish YouTube would stop paying some of these clowns for the BS they post. Mostly the dudes who do prank vids or some racist **** like go to "the hood" and try to pull fast ones on random dudes.

They only make money because tons of people watch those stupid videos.
 
Not one person stood up for dude and said it was wrong smh. He shouldnt pull stunts like this, but no one knew his intentions, and its ****** up that no one stood up for them, they just let that **** ride.

Bein treated bad cuz your skin color or appearance is a ****** feeling, i wont let **** lkke this go down in front of me.

dude legit got escorted off the plane because people were uncomfortable.

also, i guess i shouldnt used innocent*, but unarmed.
 
Or maybe he payed for those people to complain and they was in on it? Idk, people can go to extreme lengths to get views so I wouldn't doubt it!
