So much this.

I didn't go to the barber from like 17-24. Grew my hair and now I get cut by an old Greek lady.

Barbershops are great when you have a relationship with the people there. Sounds like dude was just being sheisty.

Go to another barber in the same shop to make him jealous, then never go back.

After I leaned how to give myself a shapeup, I couldn't beleieve people actually paid $10 for a good 5 mins of work.

For everyone that cuts their own hair, what do you use? Like any special setup or kit or anything????

I'm VERY comfortable lining my son and I up at the crib. But I been shook to actually try and cut my own hair...

So I go to the shop maybe 1.5 times a month, and just edge myself up invetween visits.

I'm tryna make that leap tho!

I remember around the time I started doing it myself there was a thread dedicated to it here. Everyone reccomended the Andis T-Outliner.
 

Do it on a Friday before a weekend that you can stay in for, in case you **** it up. Takes a few times to get used to, but if you're just buzzing it shouldn't take too long to get the hang of it.
