Barber saw the amount of subscribers and views you have on youtube
Probably thought you was rolling in that ad revenue and can afford a $35 shape up.
You should find a new barber, every time you get a new sub or more views he will probably raise the price.

My barbershop charges $25 on holidays instead of $15. Thats why i went yesterday for regular price

If you know the shop is going to be extra packed and you gotta be there from 9 to sometimes midnight + for x mas and New Years why not make an extra $10 per head

Never heard of the holiday surcharge but I always tip my son's barber $5 anyway. He a lil dude so I don't need to tip more than that. Wife need to quit playin and let me cut his hair and save that money

You always tip the barber either Five or 10, more if he stays hella late to get you.

My barber has never increased prices on me, prices have gone up, but I've been with him for about 10 years so I've paid 10$ + 5$ each time, also EVERYTIME I go to DR I bring him back a bottle and on holidays I slip him an extra 20$
You gotta take care of your barber, I'm sure OPs barber feeding him that story because he's only been seeing him for 4 months, no barber would treat his regulars of years that way because well that's a deal breaker

Basically this, I pay the same thing every time. That surcharge is to get walk in's.
