He did wear them in the ASG. The ASG is played before the playoffs. Usually when a shoe is worn for the ASG they're considered a ASG version of that model.

I'll just stick to calling them simply the black/white CW.

I have 2011's but will probably get these if the leather is right. 2011's weren't a bad retro considering all the other crap around that time.

Yeah, to me, they did a great job on the 2011s. Hopefully with this release, the prices on the 2011 drop, because I wouldnt mind have another pair in addition to this years.

My favorites are

Playoffs
Black/Red(2010s do not count to me)
Grey Toe(2004)

Breds are my favorites followed by flints. Don't really care about the rest, but i'm hoping the melo's drop this year. They were rumoured for a 2017 release last year.

he wore them in February 1998 first....then later on in the playoffs....in April/May.He also did this with the 12s the previous year. Playoffs are kind of a misnomer for this shoe, but it's understandable how people make the mistake.

Yes black/red are the playoffs and the black/white are the allstars . And only cuz the nba got lazy in 98 cuz flints was the allstar cw!!

What is the most popular og 13? (I don't mean your favorite)

At the time, I would say arguably either the black/whites (All-Stars) or the Flints.

In those days, the primarily black flagship Jordan was typically the "must have" of the whole line. But the XIII was kind of out of the ordinary in that EVERY colorway was fire. There wasn't a "black sheep" among them. The white/reds and the black/reds probably lasted the longest in stores, but that doesn't mean they sat for weeks.

I remember I got my two black/white pairs on release day, and when I went to the same mall later the following week NO store had stock left. Not even one pair.

With the Flints, they were a HOT release on Day 1, it was either the Wednesday or Friday before Valentine's Day so hella girls were buying them for their bfs. By the end of Valentine's weekend they were GONE, but in my area a few places got restocks a few months later.

I dont disagree or agree with the name of this shoe.  But when did this become such an issue of the name.  In 98 the allstar game had MJ wearing what we all knew was a shoe we would see again in the playoffs.  They could be called both and dont think anyone is wrong either way.  For years they were the playoffs.  Just wondering what/who made the change.  Other than the fact the were seen first in the all star game.  With that are we gonna call the black white XIIs the all stars from now on?  To myself, an all star colorway was always the non bulls colors that would match an all star jersey somewhat.  For all we know, the grape Vs and the maroon/blue VIs may have been an all star colorway but never happened because MJ just wore what he wanted..Could the true blue 3s been an all star color?Military IVs?  I have never heard the black cement 3s called the all star 3s.  I could be wrong... ?

The reason us OG heads call the Jordan 12 and 13 black white all stars is because that's what we watched MJ play in the all star game in. It's doesn't matter about the color, all other shoes that any other player wears during all star games were and still are called the all star of that model. So to give other shoes the current name and credit and not the Jordan 12's and 13's that's something i understand the younger heads doing, but not an OG head, you wouldn't be a true OG head calling them playoffs, saying it makes no kind of sense.

Also in 97, that was the first year that players wore their team jerseys instead of all star jerseys, so it only makes sense that MJ wore bulls colored shoes for 97 and 98 all star games.

I consider the non Chicago Bulls colorways as Lifestyle colorways. Not retro +, but original Lifestyle colorways. Bourdoux 7, Aqua 8, and Columbia 11s are the colorways you refer to as Allstar non Bulls colorways but that was it. 98 Allstar game is one of the greatest ever if not the best.

Watched every allstar game Jordan played in from 88-2003.   I get what your saying for sure.  But my point is no one is calling certain models allstars.  Such as Black cement 3, Black Infrared VIs, BC4, Black Metallic Vs.  Why these two?.  Why now?   And what does define a true Jordan head?

Might be down for these.  My 2011 pair is still in great condition, but might upgrade
Might not be an upgrade. 2011 PLAYOFFS were a nice retro despite the piss poor (and incorrect) paint job on the outsole and the yellow jumpman sticker on the insole that peeled off with haste...
