2017 Air Jordan 13 AllStar Re-re-release

These are going to move as slow as the University Blue 11's.
what does that even mean? lol the 11s came out saturday its only wednesday, people buying JB was smart and made them a super GR. even when rd pairs dry up restocks will be plenty i jus seen closing ceremonys at my footaction lol

I wouldn't count on it. The 13's have been historically an unpopular model in some areas. Especially with the new age sneaker heads.

I really do believe these will be sitting for about a week or so after RD. In all honesty, this really depends on the production numbers. Should JB produce as many All-Stars as they did with the recent black and blue 13 lows, they may move quicker.

It's pretty evident JB made a TON of these Columbia 11 lows. There's a whole FSR for the entire family

Doubt JB does the same for the All-Stars. Might just be for men.

Actually, 13s are one of the most popular models in the line, even dating back to the OGs. I remember there being a huge line the last time the Blacktoe 13s came out.

If these sit for a few days, its because Jordan Brand made a ton of them.

Who cares about sitting and selling out in a day? Does it make you feel better or confident in your interest/purchase? More pairs they make, the more people who can cop. That's the point right? Now a days, every thread, the concern over whether shoes will sit or sell(in a day) is so annoying. If these are so popular, everyone will get a pair who wants, especially if it's a mass produced release . Every men's pair of White /red 13s in my local mall with 9 shoe stores is sold out. That's the point and the bottom line, even if it takes weeks.

For me it matters if they sit because I want to cop below retail with a Nike coupon.  I don't want to pay retail or above on any retro Jordan now a days

What's up with all these bargain hunting, couponing, soccer mom minivan sneakerheads popping up lately? Haha. I'm all about saving money or whatever... But literally every single thread is just dudes saying "Oh imma cop below retail. Below retail or bust. Bruh imma complain to Nike that my shoes smell like glue and get a discount code".

jeeeeeeez man.

The way sneakers move or sells matters a ton. Because that's how Nike/JB figures out what their production numbers should be for the next go around or for other models. If sneakers don't move well, that just incentivizes them to go the limited route. And we all know how much NT loves that, don't we?

That's BS. Im talking about tpeople on NikeTalk IG/Twitter. No one mentions that they care if things sit or are available because they want to figure out when JB will go the limited route. Only 1s, collabs, and some low tops come in smaller numbers. As I said, the White red 13s were very mass produced yet still sold in about two months. These Xi lows people are panicking over will sell out eventually as well. JB has increased the amount of pairs released year after year for over a decade. These white red 13s seem to have sold quicker in 2017 than they did in 2010 when there was less pairs.

I'm sorry, but you're mistaken.

Yes, JB has increased their production numbers year after year, but let's not assume they're doing us any favors here. It's in JB's best interest to sell out sneakers immediatley after they release. The longer they sit, the less hype the brand has.

I wouldn't be surprised if JB goes back to the limited numbers once hype has reach maximum levels. They're also trying to compete with Adidas now as well. The Yeezy hype is VERY real and people are preferring them over Jordans. Especially kids. Theres a lot to consider here. It's not as simple as you're making it out to be.

Not true for the very fact that Jordan retros alone are sold by thousands more pairs than Yeezy shoes. People buy Jays all year while maybe 6-10 Yeezys drop in a year with a small amount buying. My original question, why stress over things selling out in a day in every NT thread? Sure, for the limited shoes it makes sense since it may not be available to purchase for a while but that's it.

2 years ago the Chrome and Aqua 8s were among the top sellers for the holiday season despite sitting. Jordan hype is going no where because jordans are always going to be in, it's been that way for years. I remember when folks complained about everything being limited and FCFS, now we have mass GRs and ****** still ain't happy

I don't know how else to explain this you.

The reasons why Jordan's outsell the Yeezy's in the "thousands" is because there's obviously a limited number of Yeezy's being released every time. There's practically a new JB retro release every other Saturday

It's honestly simple economics here, man. You have competition, so you must figure out how to regain market share. What do you do? You release your hottest models (ie. Banned 1's, Royal 1's, Space Jam 11's, White Cement 4's) and make them a GR so everyone has a chance to get them. Consumers then wear their sneakers and hype starts to grow again. This is no coincidence JB has released a lot of heaters and this is the main reason. Also, why do you think JB FINALLY started releasing popular models with "Nike Air" on the back?

They knew for YEARS that's something the sneaker head community has been asking for, but kept it in their back pocket when they needed to. Not only did they give us "what we want", but they slapped a $220 price and knew people would eat it up. NIke/JB has lost a considerable amount of market share within the sneakerhead and casual consumer communities. Right now Yeezy's are the most sought after sneakers, well before Jordan's.

I can almost guarantee you that Adidas will have NO ISSUES releasing a new V2 on the same day a Jordan releases a retro. If anything, this would heavily benefit JB, because the people that strike out on the Yeezy's (about 80-90%) will pick up the Jordan's as a consolation. Adidas knows this and so does Nike/JB.

This is the REAL reason why you NEVER see V2's and Jordan retro with the same release date.

So, to emphasize my point again: In this business, it really does matter how quickly a sneaker sells out. It matters to to the manufacturer and also the retailer. There's so much at play.

when you cop things on release day like black metallic 5s for 160 (220 retail) or cherrys 13s for 134 (190 retail)
You start to like it
