Honest opinion could I be fired?

Accidentally clicked on an adult website while logged onto my jobs guest wifi on my personal phone. This is the same guest wifi that any person can access by just clicking on it. Just wondering if they would be able to find out it was me or even if I could be fired for it. Kind of nervou about this foolish mistake. Please let me know what you guys may know on this topic.
 
Your IT dept will track it down. Are there cameras at your job? It's really up to how they operate. They could not ever see it or you could get the shoulder tap after lunch.
 
If it truly was an accident I wouldn't think anything of it. If they do catch it I'm sure you can explain you made an honest mistake or didn't know it was an adult site.
 
I just googled it and they said they can track and trace usage even if its an open wifi. Depends on where you work whether they actually will.

I doubt their IT department is monitoring it that heavy though. If they do ask you about it, just say you were browsing during lunch and you clicked a link by accident, which is the truth.
 
Probably nothing will happen it's the guest wifi.

Never connect your personal devices to the company wifi.
 
most of the time things like this are only caught when they're looking for a more serious issue that happened

that's how people really get jammed up
