***MLB FEET AND EQUIPMENT 2017***NEW THREAD

chezzer

the body of that U/S is the thermalite i believe right?

I had a couple of those around...2011/2012 i think.

interestingly my ideal U/S would be compression on the torso and looser in the sleeves

it gets really hot and humid in the summer and i dont like wearing a fitted or looser U/S cause it feels like it sticks to my body and pulls. i wear a s/s nike pro compression shirt with the vent on the back but usually want to wear a shirt w slightly longer sleeves under it but it can be a lot during the really humid days. oh well

Yup you are correct sir, Thermalites are still being made but to the teams directly, notice the over exaggerated team logo and you don't see it but the lower bottom of the shirt has the newer BSBL logo authentic collection stamp.

Btw here is the shirt sample View media item 2377773If you notice the sleeves and possibly the torso portion of the shirt, I believe it is a compression and venting going on at the same time, interesting concept but I believe the shirts will never be because look at what is mostly being pushed now, 3/4 sleeves. Why have a L/S when 3/4 seems to be the trend now.

i would always rather just get the L/S and cut it myself than have a predetermined 3/4 sleeve length

makes sense that theyre doing it that way though

Hi guys! new to the thread. I've been working at Nike for awhile and have too much Red Sox gear that I'm looking to get rid of. I linked it down below if anyone is a Red Sox fan and is interested.

If this isn't allowed i apologize, i wasn't too sure where to post it. On the equipment front in high school I wore a Nike Shada/Do Elite glove and it was awesome.

damn i got excited and thought it was gonna be some on field stuff haha

Nike Baseball just keeps on losing people. I see that Matt Harvey is now with adidas, switching out IMO, one of the sharpest looking Nike gloves, for a Rawlings and wearing adidas cleats. I just don't understand what their strategy is anymore. Put everything behind Trout basically, which is a great bet for sure. But man, losing
Carlos Correa to adidas, never going after KB, who attended a Nike school, etc. just makes me wonder.

Nike still has a lot of pros and university teams under their belt. Nike is still the most popular cleat brand for high school kids and younger. I coach and see lots of kids using nike batting gloves and nike pro undershirts and sliding pants are by far the most popular brand. UA spikes are also popular here because of Bryce Harper. Even though Kris Bryant is also insanely popular, I don't see too much adidas spikes or undershirts being worn. NB spikes are also popular. Lots of players in the adult league wear NB including myself.

confused

the sole on these doesn't match the sole on the stock Jordan 12 cleats

but the cleat plate is Nike, so they aren't custom cleats

They're player exclusives in the sense that the color way and the small details like his number 13 are on the heel. The midsole is the same as the first Jordan 12 general release that Jordan Brand did. Machado just went with that older midsole cause it's more comfortable in my opinion. The Huarache 2K4's had that midsole and it was the most comfortable midsole I ever tried on when I use to play.

@silo yo i PMd you on insta. not sure if youre interested in selling any of those nike mvp MCS cleats but the league im in now has a bunch of turf fields that wont let us use metal.

i guess this goes out to everyone if you have/see some good mid top MCS cleats in a 9.5 or 10 hit me up. im hesitant to just buy blindly cause i like to try **** on but i trust yall to give a good assessment of stuff.

i was actually looking at some of the adidas mid cut ones and they look nice but dont have any adidas cleats so no idea what the fit is like

I'm really excited for the Donaiya. I had to order custom through a friend in Japan as the store that has a custom builder on rakuten doesn't have it available for the usa market. I had to get the custom model because the only outfield pattern is the single post with two bars going horizontally. I guess that's a classic OF pattern in Japan as my first Mizuno glove I got in high school was a GOC-3 with the same pattern.

How did you like the Xanax? They always tout that their materials are top of the line and I know that they are super expensive too. The only one I've seen first hand was the Trust series and it was real nice. I'd really like to see what the Trust-X series is like.
I liked the Xanax a lot and wish I would have kept it. It was huge.

Ill try to post some pics in a bit.

That is the most beautiful glove I have ever seen, who is that made by?? Is it 13" that webbing is insane man.

thats a beautiful glove ^ reminds me of my old ichiro mizuno from little league.

been using my metal spikes from highschool in my softball and got busted for first time this year (twice last year) finally bit the bullet and bought some molded 2k filths for dirt cheap

It's a Xanax, which is a Japanese company. Expensive AF. Yes, most Japanese glove makers make a 13" model OF glove. They size their gloves differently over there but their OF gloves tend to be huge. Check out my IG page, silo_luger. I post as much of my stuff over there as I can.

I have a couple pair of the 12's and the shoe and cleat wear the same.  The toe box is a little narrow which can cramp a little.  When I have shoes like that I like to go up .5 a size for comfort.  just depends on how you like your cleats to feel.  if you're rocking thick baseball socks that might make a difference too.  personally never had an issue wearing a .5 size up on cleats in the field.

Gotcha thanks. Scooped the silver/black MCS pair on NDC clearance, can't wait to get em :pimp:

How do you like the reverse winding? I usually see that on Japanese infield gloves, but don't usually see it on OF gloves. I heard it makes the pocket wider which is why infielders prefer it.
