I blame it more so on sports.. I'm was watching nfl playoffs and they scan it on the fans a lot..

They've always done that and the reactions are genuine. The WWE will cut to a kid who clearly doesn't care but will fake a reaction since he notices himself on the screen the WWE even will go back an edit reactions to try to fool people. I want to say sometime in the last 3 weeks Roman was kicking his *** kicked, and they cut to a guy clearly loving the beating, and the following week in a video package, they used his sad reaction to a different segment and spliced it into Reigns' beating

Blame it all on Lesnar Guy and Taker Reaction Guy..Ever since them two guys Vince has been obsessed with "catching" people's reactions..But only thing it does is take away from the viewing experience..Not ever single entrance, move, or 3 count is cause for a reaction shot..
