Bow ! Bow ! bow! bow! souldier boy, really a soldier? vid included

Remember in that I Miss You remix song when Jay said Big would be ashamed that NY was gang banging?

Btw, Taxstone kills me with claiming he is/was a Blood but constantly throwing shade to the West/South.

Tax constantly clowns gangbanging in general. He goes at his east coast bloods, his old OGs etc. ***** just grew up and realized how flawed bangin is at this point.

All the OGs vouch for Tax. T. Rogers stamped him.

Oh ok, gotcha. I can respect that then. Still don't like dude though. lol

my gripe with gangbanging is...if u not making duckets.. what's da point?

It's a crew thing where I am from in the Bay. Going to school in the mid 90's was so odd. We were no LA but I swear gangs were formed without any consent of OGs. In my suburb school, we had made up gangs that essentially were affiliated to bloods or crips in theory but never like a legit right of passage if that makes sense. We had COBs (Color of Blood) which were all like cambodian kids in my schools and some other crip affiliated gangs that were all Filipino. Like who let you guys bang with the LA gangs. I think that life was such an influence out here that people that were knuckleheads just claimed sides and started a subgang from the big gangs.

Technically there's no real gangs in Atlanta

I've been to ATL and its mostly just dance crews that beef with each other. You might see one dance crew getting it in at the Quik Trip, hittin the folk and ju ju ing on a beat, and when the other dance crew from a different zone comes through without checking in, it starts to get staticky. Of course one thing leads to the next, they start verbally assaulting each other and then one cat comes out the blue with the "you wasn't talking that talk last night when I was at ya house" talk and then that's when bullets fly. Guns are legal down there so it's cats carrying mossbergs in their girbaud pants leg. ****** is crazy down there. Someone gets hit, then police pull up and 4 ppl start telling on each other. This is all facts, I seen it on First 48

I love Atlanta tho, shoutout to the Varsity. They got some good hot dogs. The ppl there are cool. It's def a polar opposite of the daily rudeness of NY that I love

He said dance crew beef

I remember when my city was in some gang **** for like 3 years in the early/mid 00's cuz of Wayne n dipset ...it was so weird n random , then just disappeared n everything when back to normal over night  :smh:

You rep your side/hood/block where I'm from , nobody cares about colors

Downtown SJ is actually nice now in most parts. The entire place used to be a dump back in the day :x

I'm not Latino but get mistaken for one often. I look like my dad, who is a very tan Portuguese guy with black hair, so everyone thinks we are Mexican (that's why living in Norteno/Sureno neighborhoods was problematic)
Damn, that sucks. Reminds me of my Spanish friend. He looks like one of those light-skinned actors on telemundo. Dude gets mistaken for a lighter Mexican all the time, we almost got into so many fights because of him lol.

still try to avoid going downtown past 10 PM tho unless it's like san pedro or something.

not cause it's necessarily dagernous, but people always making stupid decisions out there.

only go to ESSJ at night for Pekoe.

Who started this dumb @#$ Blood trend? Lil Wayne? I'm not talking about artists who actually grew up in LA (although I suspect many of them are the same way). I'm talking dudes like Young Thug claiming to Blood

Wayne started banging heavy when he was running around with Mac 10 and Dipset. Game was poppin round this time. And Jim Jones was banging all crazy. I'd say a combination of Dipset/Wayne/Game made being blood "cool" (bool) in the early to mid 00s.

Thug and Dipset and them bang East Coast sets. SMM/9-Trey etc. Wayne just all over the place with his banging. One minute he banging East coast sets and riding the 5....next he west coast piru. East/West coast bloods are different.

Thug influenced by Wayne heavy. So I'm sure that's what got him......as well as the NY sets that moved down south in the early 00s to turn blood.

Soulja just with every damn gang . Lotta GD's in Mississippi...so that made SOME sense he was claiming that. Even though I'm sure it was phony.

Agreed with all this but wanted to mention that Suge was really the first dude I remember repping Red heavy in music.

There were cats like Quik who were Blood but nobody as larger than life as Suge.

Yea, you're right. Suge and Deathrow really did bring bangin to the forefront in hip hop.

I'm not sure where you're getting all this from, but gang culture has been dead (outside of a few small pockets in the major metro areas) for YEARS. I can't think of any typical area in the Bay, LA, or SD that you'd run into any gang activity outside of the typical gang neighborhoods that 99% of people never go to. Gang culture is more prevalent in @$%# parts of California like Central Cali and the San Joaquin Valley

For the record I've spent most of my life in the Bay but lived in SoCal for 4 years during college and still fly down to LA/SD pretty often. And no, I don't stay in the affluent white areas.

Cities like Compton and Inglewood make up 0.02% of LA's 10 million population (not an exagerration). Baby Boy is almost a 20 year old movie
