Do you even know the history of Chicago to being saying something like that. Housing discrimination is one of the main reasons those areas are that bad.

And your beef is with the media not calling it a hate crime when they have already been charged with a hate crime.

These people committed a hideous crime and will and should be punished for it.

But I'm sick and tired of people using this as an excuse to dismiss other issues in the city. White supremacy helped make those parts of Chicago what they are.

And Trump have put the battery in racist backs, and there has been backlash against minorites since the election. There are strories about them all the time. posters have experienced it, hell are videos on YouTube of clowns yelling Trump at minorites.

This can't be emphasized enough.

The projects turned bad because lawmakers voted to defund programs that would pay for garbage removal and other routine maintenance necessary to maintain the space inhabitable. Policies of "starving the CHA" were instrumental in the deteriorating state of Cabrini Green and all the other notorious projects in Chicago. That money was redirected to fund policies that would favor the White populations and neighborhoods of the city.

Problem is, White people don't want to acknowledge that part of history as theirs. It's incriminating. That's why you usually get the "slavery was 300 years ago" deflection.
