Anyone ever work out during their work shift?

I'm very surprised I haven't found anyone talking about this subject online. I would never do this at my current job, I am speaking for a close friend only. Also not referring to using the workplace gym at lunch or after work, I am talking about putting in a solid workout without management's knowledge during your shift. Pushup sets where there are no camaras, setting up chairs for dips, carrying furniture and doing squats, pullups from beams in the ceiling, or even going for a run outside when the coast is clear. I've heard it's an amazing feeling to get your workout in while you are on the clock. Any input from y'all?

I work corporate. I could definitely bust out some pushups and dips at my desk and nobody would say anything.

Just started a cubicle gig 2weeks ago. Already doing up downs. Bout to bust out push ups and maybe bring a jump rope  srs

Are you a tradie?

This seems like something a tradie would do, my fellow non STEM brah

all the time, job has a gym. Do a quick half hour at 930am when not too busy. My leadership be at the gym consistently.

I'm not talking about about using the employee gym or team building yoga with your co workers. I'm talking about about an all out, prison type of workout in small rooms like chamgerooms, closets or offices that don't have surveillamce, and without the permission from your boss.

I do, nothing intense tho! I hate sitting all day so every few hours I do just randomly do some squats or like lifts in my chair. When it's not too cold I'll just disappear and go for a walk.

Back when I was a valet at a hotel and we were expecting like 10 check ins, I closed the valet stand and went and played basketball with some friends at the rec center. Came back like 2 hrs later, saw that nothing had changed so I clocked out and bounced.

Damn, i shoulda went into corporate....

To answer your question, OP. Nah, i dont work out during my shift.

my workout time is from 1230-2 while at work. used to be from 8-915 in the morning but i get to work too late nowadays. i also put a rower in my office last week to get me started on some cardio.

Tell your friend to take the initiative to start a pro health campaign at work. It has pro's across the board for employee and employer. The biggest companies out there do it, including the one I work for.

I do a couple sets of squats from time to time and do some push ups if I really feel like my day is dragging. People have seen me do them passing by my office. No issues on my end.

Just make sure that it's not excessive and you're still being productive at work.

when i was in the military all the damn time. had a bench and a squat rack in the shop

management doesnt really care if we come or go, as long as the work is getting done...

current situation, best type of job to have if you're focused and organized. I def went to the gym during work hours

If you dont eat crazy stinky seafood in the lunch room and dont go too hard when you sneak your workout in , I dont see a problem,

Just dont be that guy that smells like a fish market and a gym bag at the same time.

Funny you mentioned a prison style workout.

I used to know a dude that we used to call " prison chins" as a nickname.....

Infact ole prison chins was an nter

Used to work at Disneyland a few years ago. Never did solid work outs there but I would do pull ups, dips in backstage areas. A lot of random stair wells and such with out cameras and no one ever walked by.

I work in a large building. Don't use the on site facility, but I'll power walk through the building a couple laps to get some card. People do it all the time.
