CLOSED, NEW THREAD OPENED

One of the hardest things about this is the current crop of players are the most endearing group of pro athletes I've ever been a fan of. Only thing keeping me from saying [emoji]128405[/emoji][emoji]127998[/emoji]the Raiders right now.

Back to back champs then move to Vegas.

edit: and how in the hell my season ticket rep gonna call me now? Man, I'm not trying to talk to you dude.
Imagine the last year in Oakland, they win the super bowl. Then have a parade through Oakland.

Mark deff not rebranding the team...
would be one of the worst ideas ever

Too little too late Libby! The NFL doesn't take you seriously LOL

The sad part is for the last 2 years she has basically written this off as being a non-possibility by doing nothing until the last minute. I hope her time as mayor in oaklannd and politics in general are done

I know Mark wanted out but he played the game and got what he wanted out of it

not even sure if i want season tickets next year :smh:

Yea I can't see myself being a legit fan of another team but it's gonna b difficult to really be excited for Raider seasons like I used to be...I'll jus be more excited for NFL in general...

31-1 is pretty telling and her trying to save face against the storm to me is just really bad form.

Mark said direct all the anger and frustration at him not the team. Wonder if he gonna b out in the Bay Area showing his face...

the worst part is now Im stuck watching 9er games only as the in-market game Directtv gon make a killing out here smh

Pretty much whoever runs against her can literally use that as the basis of the campaign. Under her leadership we have lost 2 franchises, she preaches about changing oakland and making it better with schools and crime but she literally has made 0 impact on that.

The only reason oakland is thriving (primarily downtown and west) is because it was the final frontier of affordability that is it. Crime and all the issues of old have not changed under her watch smh

I've been saying this and yet i always get called out for rhetoric.

City of Oakland did the right thing. I won't be upset about not giving up the people's money to help billionaires.

As far as I'm concerned the Oakland Raiders are now history. The thread title has Vegas Raiders because they are a team in transition. Oakland is now just a temporary hub. Us season ticket holders just got an email telling us that Oakland will always be part of the team's DNA, but it's clear the team wants to brand itself as the Vegas team immediately. So be it.

I called her out in here the other day and folks was acting like she been trying to do stuff.

She should've did more earlier man. Way too last minute.

It just sucks for us fans. They straight ripped our hearts out. First winning seasons in years and a playoffs appearance; and then they pull this man.

They have been putting out articles saying how attendance in Vegas is gonna be full of mostly tourists; so Raiders won't ever really have a "home" game... it'll be a even/equal playing field for visiting teams; that sucks for sure man.

Just a big let down.

Im sorry others speak on stuff the know nothing about

Giving money to billionaires? Really are you basing this entirely on the raiders, what about all the other businesses who have come to oakland on favorable circumstances provided by this admin in tax breaks and other incentives to get them to bring business here. Don't act like others in the city havent done it

Also dont give the woman a pass who is now using this to save face she repeatedly said other things in the city are more important but she has done nothing to improve those other things. You Ronnie lott trying to raise public money to fund this and where was she to offer support?

Libby Schaaf not the city failed on this

Same thing I said above Im sorry you got input from folks who dont live in the city but swear they know what oakland is about smh

That's the thing tho people look at vegas as this promised land of opportunity but how soon people forget what happened in Vegas 8-11 years ago. When the national economy takes a dip especially with an unstable admin like this people dont go to vegas like that.

Casinos in general were struggling. You somehow have a team leaving one of the largest GDP's in the world to go to the desert where people go when they have plenty of disposable income. When that dries up and times get hard well see how this franchise and the 2 franchises in LA perform in that microcosm

I dont understand why everyone keeps running with this narrative.  The Las Vegas metro area is a sliver under 2M people now, and is still one of the fastest growing areas in the United States.  I really feel for you guys, but this excuse that most Raider fans are running with is a huge reach IMO.

Here comes the Libby witch hunt.

I guess we do need a scape goat.
C'mon bro. The last minute pitch to me was just a slap in the face. Let's be real.

It's not all on the Mayor, but to ACT LIKE YOU HAVE IT ALL TOGETHER WHEN THAT'S NOT THE CASE IS JUST WELL BYE!

City of Oakland has many more pressing needs - she should have closed the door and not tried to play like anything was still there.

THE DEAL WAS DONE FOR MONTHS - HELLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOO
