CLOSED, NEW THREAD OPENED

Tho I expected the raiders to move from the get go and I was preparing myself it was still like a gut punch after it really happened and it's definitely a tough pill to swallow. I respect those fans who decide to stay loyal to the brand. Me personally, I'm indifferent about it. On one hand im a huge fan and been there through the rough years dating back to the SB loss. But on the other hand the teams I root for are due to the fact they represent the area I'm from. When I think of Oakland Raiders I think of a team who represents the city of Oakland, east bay, and the Bay Area (not a knock on the Niners). And I have travelled a lot and have been stationed far from home so I have a deep fondness for back home (Bay Area). Now back on the Raiders, tho this was a business decision I still feel it's a slap in the face to all the fans who are from the Bay Area. I am a OAKLAND Raiders fan I'm not sure if I'm LAS VEGAS Raiders fan. I don't know if I can continue to root for a team that basically gave us the middle finger after so many years of loyalty and bs we had to put up with. Now I'm not saying I'm gonna jump on the Niners wagon (never hated them or liked them). But I'm definitely questioning my loyalty to the team. Luckily it still basketball season and I'm more concerned with the Dubs season and football season doesn't start for another while or so. So maybe things may change by that time but respect to those who stay loyal to the Raider brand I just don't know if I can show loyalty to a team which owner doesn't show loyalty to its fans. Just my long 2 cents :pimp:

Man I'm just curious what Is the connection to the team if they don't play where you are from.

I don't know man y'all better than me.

I'd be trying to burn down team headquarters and the Lions have given me way less Than the Raiders have given y'all

Looks like you're a Mavs and Lions fan?

My feelings exactly. I'm 34 and I been through what you state. I don't know how to root anymore either. It's not bigger than me and my pride anymore.

Never had enough money to go to games when I was younger, so I watched the tv and became a fan that way. The Lakers were always on TV when I was growing up and that's been my team since. Even tho they're 300+ miles away, I still catch as many games as I can. Shoutout to the internet.

Growing up I was enamored by the Raiders. The jerseys, the players, the colors, the fact that they played in my backyard, etc. My pops & pretty much everyone around me was a Niners fan, but i liked the raiders more. Cried like a ***** when the tuck rule happened. Stuck thru the team for 10 years of trash, I'm not leaving now.

So the teams that were on tv a lot are the teams I stuck to and rooted for. Im not gunna change now because they're further away. Games are still accessible on the internet & tv.

Sucks for the local bay kids, gunna have to grow up as Niner fans now :frown:

for me I really can't understand the idea of putting so much time and effort into being a fan of a team and jumping ship, no matter the circumstances. I know there's no way to recreate that bond.

I was a really big Kings fan and after being continually disappointed by the ownership and not to mention the **** product on the court I decided to focus all my tears on the RAIDERS, felt like for my mental health's sake I couldnt root for two terrible teams.

I still watch and enjoy basketball but I don't feel any kind of emotion towards teams winning and losing, though I did feel happy for Dirk when the Mavs won it but really felt like when you're happy that someone else is happy. even when the Warriors won it, I watch mostly all the games cause my girls a fan but didn't really feel anything. Though I was happy for her and the fans in Oakland.

I was born in Michigan and lived half my life in Texas and half in Michigan.

The Lions represent something bigger than sports to me though so it's deeper than football for me

Looks like you might have answered your own question for why we stick with the Raiders.

Put down the deposit for Vegas. They ask at the end which section you'd be interested in sitting in and differentiate the sections by dollar signs, the way Yelp does with restaurants lol.

The deposit also does not guarantee any wait-listing for seats. It's just to receive information about seating and pricing first.

But reason for me is they represent a city and region where my entire family is from and a city that built America.

If they left Detroit my reason for loving them would be gone unless they stayed in Michigan

Scrolling through my twitter feed and even seeing the subject line "Las Vegas Raiders" just sounds and looks weird AF to me :x

Draymond Green said fans shouldn't attend games in Oakland during their last couple of seasons here.

I wouldn't mind them being in Fremont or Levi's. Las Vegas don't even sound right smh.

JT the Brick is just terrible in general. I don't know how anyone can listen to dude.

bruh i was listening to JT the brick this afternoon. his entire segment was essentially on the move to LV and damn it, he's absolute trash. dude was so biased, praising mark davis, as if davis was a pure genius who singlehandedly moved mountains and did all the work to get the vote to be 31-1. if it weren't for jerry jones stepping in and getting B of A to enter this deal, mark davis would probably be at a desk right now writing some sort of anti-oakland manifesto on how it's the politicians' fault

like it was that hard to lobby team owners to vote yes when they'd get $50 million each as a result of this relocation? not to mention, they'll be able to use this situation as leverage in the future case that a city doesn't want to use public money to build a stadium..
