Disappointing end to a great season. Looking forward to the future of the team. stay in Oakland

12-4 is great. Carr injury and wildcard was terrible. Del Rio stays. Possibly Musgrave. Ken Norton gone. Aldon hopefully returns. Need lb help. Stay healthy next season and work on winning from the jump.

Musgrave's plays are great when executed at the right time. Just terrible timing.

Another double digit win season next season and the AFC west crown.

I think it's too early for that talk but isnt he a defensive coach? why they so bad on that side of the ball? who does being the most penalized team fall on?
nobody ever seems to answer that question on why we suck on defense with JDR being a defensive coach. I feel like if we win a super bowl it will be with out him being the HC.

I love Mack and his leadership but no way was it completely on the defense. The offense couldn't move the ball to save its life at times and unfortunately execution is / was something that plagued the Raiders for years in the booth and on the field. I'll give Del Rio a leadership point and badge for earning the respect of the players and establishing a raider culture but the team can be much better without Derek Carr and injuries if the players and schemes can work against anything thrown at them. We couldn't cover tight ends for almost two seasons in a row and we couldn't establish a consistent run game with the biggest line in the league. Much of it does feel like a timing issue for both sides. New faces new coaches new organization. I don't say fire coaches I say they need more time before we start asking for papers. Is everything going to be perfect all the time? NoIf anything an identity exists for the Raiders going forward and somehow I think once they do get it going to the point of no question they are the team the Raiders will be in it for years to come.

I put it all on the defense. We had no sacks couldn't cover to save our lives.can't blame the offense as u don't expect anything from a rookie qb going against the top defense and our line is hurt. Our secondary was a joke all season, along with the linebackers. Our De's need help in the middle we need a big boy to clog up that middle who can be healthy and an actual lb and cb that can cover

We put up 0 sacks today and I garuantee that we blitzed more then we have all season.

Today was expected unfortunately.Reggie gotta go shopping this offseason.

How many draft picks do we have this year?

Lastly tough end to a great season. Thank you raiders for making us relevant again. Hope this is the start of something great.

To bad the worst Davis in history wants out of Oakland so bad that he wants to leave one of the top diversified economic regions in the world for a one trick pony town in vegas

I think we got 6, and whatever compensatory picks we get from free agents.

Jack may be a defensive coach, but it's not like he's actually coaching one side of the ball more than the other. That's why there are coordinators. Should he have taken more action in terms of the play calling? Yes, but if Norton's schemes aren't any good, play calling isn't going to make much of a difference. We're not built like the Seahawks. We don't have a Cam Chancellor or Richard Sherman. Our guys are ok, but just like every team, scheme is nothing if you don't have the right players. A HC is supposed to be a leader and manage all 3 sides of the ball, not be the coordinator for each.

well he doesn't coach offense or special teams cause that is not his background, usually when you hire a coach with a certain acumen you expect that side of the ball not to be the worst unit. no one said anything about him being a coordinator for all 3 sides, not even sure why you brought that up.

We need to go after Boldin this offseason he would look nice in the slot pretty much plays like a tight end to.

A grumpy old man? Heck na. Him and crab the same player honestly but he needs to retire

No thanks to Boldin , I'll take my chances with Roberts

Any RB's hitting free agency that we can use for a year or two :nerd: :nerd:

Crazy to think:

All the dropped passes - Don't have the stats but I bet we lead the league in that.
Penalties - lead the league in that.
Defense - I think we're last in that.

And somehow we're 12-4. I get the criticism for JDR, as each of those things are corrrectable and it simply wasn't over the course of the season.

I seriously don't get the dropped passes. Going into the season I thought we had the best duo of WR's and they pretty much faded out towards the end of the season. I know they were hurt, but so is everyone else.

I hope Andre Holmes comes back, tbh i think I'd rather have him than Slot Roberts. Sure his route running may not be as good, but i just like him more lol. need that small/shifty chain moving WR in the slot

Don't cry, but I'm pretty sure your favorite Latavius is a free agent after this. Not sure who else..

draft wise, Dalvin Cook I think is the best RB prospect coming out but he should be long gone before we pick. Unsure about Fourtnette...he does run with power so it might be a good pick. Rather go defense first round though.

And someone said it it earlier, for a team with the biggest Oline we sure couldn't run a lot of power running plays. I don't blame mike tice for that, dude has a track record for making **** happen. But I'm sure JDR wants a power run game that wasn't there most of the season

I don't want to see us draft an offensive player in the draft until we help this defense get better.
