Anybody own newer 300/Charger?

35K for a base model I believe, I thought my dude was saying they were going for 31ish

Also I checked my average mpg for the first time in a while and it's 17.8

It's probably down to 11-13 in the city. I took the mufflers off and I run straight pipes in their place and I think it took a dip since then

I did the muffler delete as well but my mileage went down as well about a mile per gallon since I want to hear the exhaust more.

A muffler delete is all you need to do.

What a waste of money the Borla was. Should have done the muffler delete from the jump!

And my mpg in Manhattan is about 7 to 9. NYC traffic is a biatch

Yeah, not looking to buy a 5 year old SRT8 that someone has been driving like a bat outta hell. It sounds cool, but from a practical standpoint, it ain't really worth it at this point in my life.

actually da srt8 have been known to be da most well taken of da trims when we're talking 1st owners.

its not like we're talking bout a Hertz rental.

Real talk, id take a v6 with a torque flight and the upgraded interior before I dealt with the nag 5 and trash interior again

These Zf transmissions changed the game for Dodge

Dude the nag 5 was such an outdated trans. My WK1 SRT shifting pattern was weird and harsh as ****. Holding 3k rpms at 80 mph. Holy terrible hway mileage batman and the drone in the interior. :frown:

The nag 5 in my Charger would just randomly shift when I was doing 10-20 miles per hour. It was real harsh and you would hear a loud thud and the car would jerk

My Challenger was better but it still had that weird unpredictable shift at parking lot speeds

I rode in a 300S last week for an uber ride and now I'm seriously considering buying a used 2015 or leftover 2016. Just the V6 though, don't need the hemi. I would prefer better mpg. Found this one on Craigslist that I'm going to negotiate for:

http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5917569730.html

da hemi has better mpg cuz of cylinder deactivation....and it keeps a higher resell.
Can you hemi owners chime in here, how much mpg are you getting?

Got a '14 Blacktop RT..obv, hemi

MPG sucks. I'm guessing around 15/16 MPG for city driving.

Love the car, but when I drive it on the regular, I feel like I'm at the gas station 2x per week.

Gonna be the same deal when I get rid of the charger and get a Jeep Wrangler
Is da cylinder deactivation saving you a lot of gas?

Not that much...It's usually on ECO when I'm cruising on the highway. City is rough.
Do you get like an extra 1mpg or more?

 probably not...as soon as you accelerate, ECO shuts off

Yooo since we on Chrysler/Dodge topics,

What y'all think of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Not the basic one, but not the srt either.

Like the overland or summit?

Very bad investment. Trim level resale value dont match up

Jus get the top trim regular grand cherokee laredo

Although the overland is my favorite the leather is trash and not worth the extra $$

I find that really hard to believe
Nah he ain't lying. I know 2 dudes that copped around nov-dec brand new around 35. I'm lowkey mad if the lease was up on my ram I would've copped.

And I get like 15 mpg, I'm not 100% sure but I'm at the gas station often.

They had old 2016s they wanted to move with 2017 now in stock

The dealership is in Redford Michigan. They are all gone now but they had 3 charger scat packs priced near what I said

They also had a fully loaded one with every options that was fairly cheap compared to MSRP

Agreed IMO

They all lose value but I'd rather pay $35k for a loaded Laredo or whatever the decent one is then to pay 50k+++ for a overland or summit

My girls brother leased a summit a few months back, paying $500 a month :x

Forgot to mention that's because he knew someone and gave him a sick deal because they lease much more than that :smh:

If you are looking at new Grand Cherokees, I would consider the 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Patience and negotiating could get you off the lot with the V6 model at under $34,000.

Just be ready to be upside down during the first 3 years of ownership if you aren't paying cash.

Why would he lease a summit at that lease price of all things

My brothers girl wanted to lease one and they quoted her $650 a month so she went and bought a loaded X5

Currently own a 2015 Challenger. Went with the SXT Plus since I commute quite a bit for work. Fit and finish inside is cool, the tech like mentioned is pretty up to date too. Love the big digital cluster between the gauges and the large touch screen. Low miles, CPO, Got it for a really good deal as well with all the bells and whistles. Deals can def be had on the Challenger, Charger, 300 line up.

 exact same thing I would do what your brothers girl did. $500 a month for a summit is wild

Paying over $70K for anything American?

Only Car I would pay that much for possibly is a Vette Stringray Z06, Ford GT or  Viper.  Anything else though...nah.

There's a '16 R/T around my way for $24k with 18k miles through Hertz Auto Sales.

Gonna rent it for 3 days and see how I like it. But hell I don't want to be underwater on it

If the carfax says it is a previous rental you will take a hit in but that's a decent buy if you plan on driving it for a few years

Hemis hold their value better than pretty much anything outside of Honda and Toyota

domestic loaded trucks command that all day...

I've been considering trading up to a newer Tahoe/Denali/Silverado but I'm not trying to see those payments yet. :smh:

People still trip over former rental cars? It's in the rental company's best interest to maintain the vehicle because otherwise that's money lost if it sits, broken down
