Jordan x KAWS 4 Black “Cyber Monday” 11/27/17 release thread

sold a pair of size 10's on ebay guy gave me his phone number bc he wanted more items. had posted sneakers before I got them in hand (a friend of entered and won raffle for me not my size) person brought them almost immediately anyhow called him spoke on the phone told him box lid had a rip on it, he asked if sneakers were fine , I told him yes he said ok. now since he got the shoes in hand he makes a big stink to ebay about the box and wants a full refund. I offered to give him back $50 for inconvenience he declined.

my question is does anyone have a size 10 box lid real or UA they wanna sell?

You screwed, he's going to scam u

You really shouldn't sell on eBay man, I did it for a while too but use StockX or goat. What some of these idiots do is use dumb reasons like this to eventually issue a chargeback, and when they're told to return the shoes they'll send you fakes and there's nothing you can do about it.

Never move such a valuable shoe through eBay. Never. He's about to finesse you.

You're in NYC. FC and Stadium Goods are right there.

I used to fight charge backs like this back in the day and win.

Best bet is to use the angle that the actual item that was being purchased was not damaged at all. you're not responsible for the box since that wasn't what the sale was for. Stress the fact that the listing was for shoes, contents in the box and not for a box. Also keep any contact you have with him as well as any pictures he's sent you. Prove that he received what was stated in the auction and also see if he'll send you complete pics.

I worked at Ticketmaster and used to get ridiculous charge backs from AMEX. Best thing is to bombard them with info and data and always stick to the fineline because if you agree to refund, you'll most likely get took as he may send back 98%ers. Do your best to force the sale to stay completed.

Good luck dude.

I used to believe in the whole 'stock it for later' theory. But someone flat out told me, what if you died tomorrow? The next man up is gonna be wearing your kicks. So what was the whole point?? I get it if you're just about that selling life, but I'm more so speaking to the cats who collect as a passion first.

Rock em', enjoy em'.
With this logic why keep any money in the bank? You could die tomorrow... Spend it all before it goes to someone else. I buy a ton of shoes with no intention of wearing them anytime soon or maybe even ever, I just enjoy the aesthetics of certain sneakers. I have guns that I've had for years that have never been shot. Spend your money on what you like and do what you want with it.

yep learning my lesson, I've sold yeezy on ebay all the time and used fc as well...I think moving forward the only thing I sell on ebay are items worth less than $200...

I am persistently stating that the shoes are in pristine condition and that I sold him sneakers and not a box.

I'm going to keep up the fight let you guys know how it goes

best of luck. this is one of the many reasons why I've started to sell less and less on eBay. the odds aren't in your favor as eBay seems to always side with buyers -even buyers with no buying record against long time sellers.

What's your feedback on eBay, and what's his?

@bryanay1  we both got great feed back he has significantly more feedback then I have, his account is like 9-10 years older than mine. I'm feeling ******...but a major thing I forgot to mention is he wanted to buy the jacket from me outside of ebay PayPal invoice. I told him gift me and I put it in the same box he told me no, invoice only so I told him pay fee and ship (and I track it) and got upset because he didn't wanna pay shipping and told me to just send his shoes( This was a phone convo) so I shipped his shoes then he sent me this via text and ebay

It's like this bud. I paid $1900 for a $350 Air of shoes already. Irs it like you didn't make any $ of that. I could have had another pair for $1500 as well, however the deal is done. I asked you to do a simple thing and send me an invoice for the jacket and then tell me that you will have to tack on extra for shipping. What's up with that? You ask me to gift you the $$ via PayPal for the jacket. That's just business and smart on my part. I'll tell you what, why don't you just go ahead and refund me for the shoes and cancel my deal.o ahead and sell them to someone else. I don't know what kind of business you do, but this has been so lopsided onto your side that enough is enough. One thing I can't stand is greed. It's bad enough that you

so I feel like his message works in my favor.

nah I'm not going to do that imll make karma catch him

this is the same advice I gave to another NTer. For big ticket items, if possible, try to sell it to someone thats reputable. Whether on here or on ebay or even locally. Better to get a solid offer from someone credible than to get a few bucks more from someone sketchy with little to no feedback and you run the risk of getting scammed (which did happen to this NTer)

Do you have no returns accepted on your listing? It's obviously buyers remorse on his end and he's just using the damaged box as an excuse for "significantly not as described".

It's subjectively up to PayPal to decide whether a rip on the box lid is deemed as significantly not as described...I would tend to think not but just my opinion. I would reject the refund and just escalate it.

You probably rubbed him the wrong way with the way the conversation went for the jacket. That or what chowfun said, buyers remorse. $1900 is on the higher end of the resell value.

feedback means nothing when you can buy accounts with 500+. Ive seen dudes with crazy feedback trying to scam. Like vipexclusives and he has 12378 feedback.

If i ever sell on eBay you best believe it wont be any shoe worth over $500

not sure about the situation above i read it a couple times still not getting it.

but if hes asking for a paypal invoice and you sold the shoes plus the jacket as a bundle he prob planned on reselling the jacket to make up for the price of the shoes.

i was watching an auction just like this i wonder if it was yours. that would have been my plan. if that was it or a similar case i can almost guarantee he wants an invoice just in case he has to prove somehow that the jacket was purchased legit.

if this isnt the case then disregard me lol
