Jordan x KAWS 4 Black “Cyber Monday” 11/27/17 release thread

I called the Brooklyn Museum store and they said the Jordan/Kaws release was done through an outside vendor. Hopefully Alp and those who didnt get pairs last friday end up getting their pairs at some point in the future.

Exacly. Dont fake the funk. If I cant afford authentic, then I wont cop. simple as that.

LMAO@ cats that are convincing themselves to cop fakes, because real pairs are expensive

^^^ Dude all your doing is faking the funk though. Whats the point?? Buying fake shoes to show it off like its the real thing??? Make no sense :smh:

Shoe was $350 which isn't expensive. If it can be had at $350 then it'll be copped.

But it's not. A small portion of individuals feel like they should inflate the price, so why should you support them? Why support the people who ruin a hobby of yours?

It's not like the shoe was $1k+ out the gate.

Nike, got its money.

KAWS, got his money.

So the creative artists behind the intellectual property were compensated for the amount of product put out.

But I'm sleep tho |I

Its not about who makes what. The hobby is a love for kicks, regardless of who is making the money. So if you love kicks as much, then why spend money on fakes shoes?? if your lowering yourself to that, then maybe this hobby aint for you. Go do something that is not as expensive.

i dont mind people buying fakes and wearing fakes

but once someone tries to pass of their fakes as being legit, thats what pisses me off

That's the point, show off to who?

Maybe some people want to showcase and fake the funk for e-props. It's the age of social media, buying a fake shoe to "stunt" is minute compared to the other stuff people do for likes.

However there are those people that don't care about showing off and just want the shoe because it's dope. Not everyone that buys shoes/sneakers does it with an intention of flossing.

Yeah it's quite perplexing how in 2017 there are people who could care less about social media.

I like a 1952 topps Mickey Mantle Rookie card?? But I cant afford the 30k for it. Should I buy a reprint??

I like a ferrari or lambo. Should I buy a wanna be car and fix it up to look like a lambo or Ferrari??

You like the KAWS 4 BECAUSE THEY ARE DOPE?? ask yourself, can I afford it? if you can, buy it. if you cant, keep it moving, but dont lower yourself to buy something thats not the real thing.

Did you ever get a call back from the line up at the Museum ?
nah, still holding out for another week or two before I consider it a 95-99% wrap

yea that's what I figured and thanks for the good vibes

IMO if you're trying to buy some 98%er because its so close to the real one, then you are trying to pass off fakes as real. Doesn't matter if you're not selling it, you're trying to fool people to think you got the real deal. Personally I don't care if people wear fakes, I see tons of people wear fakes in NYC and I certainly don't call them out. I know my stuff is real and I mind my business.

When did UN ever sell fakes? I've seen them turn down people who tried to bring fake shoes to the store. Wouldn't you think  they would take fakes seriously as it would mess up their rep as a cosignment store?. Also when kaws came out they were not taking any cosignment and not aware if they have any Kaws, so the story is BS.

Speaking of prints I recently bought a handmade print of the jumpman logo made of splatter's of different color paints. I'm waiting to open it till I have it matted and framed. Of course it's not a kaws but reading about prints made me think of it.

The guy gave me a story...hes a dad and selling his sons jordans as punishment for his son skipping classes and poor grades..

so the guy selling it to me has no idea what these are...mind you I didn't know he got them from UN until checking the sneakers out and talking to him..

but I truly believed he didn't know the resell price on these, sounded like he didn't care since he was a lawyer...just wanted to teach his son a lesson by selling all his kicks which used his (dad) cc to buy...but whatever

but I already told him about the importance and exclusiveness of these and that the fact his son got both of these for retail at UN makes no sense, but since he knows nothing abt these, its not registering to him...

also, his son always get kicks from UN, and the others obv are real but just this time UN sent him fakes...just thought this was weird since UN is a legit place.
Not to call you out but your story is a bit odd. Might just be the way you're typing.

But regardless, 7 times out of 10, if a seller gives you a story about the shoes and why he/she selling them, they probably fake. No need to give a sob story about how his kid did this or that, or about how he getting evicted, blah blah. That's all fluff to make you wanna cop a shoe.

A legit seller would just say something like "trynna make some money" "I'm clearing out my closet ," "selling to buy other ****" etc.

If you're knowingly buying fakes you know damn well you're not telling a soul they're fake, you're passing them off as real.

not true really... i have a $7k IWG watch... i also have a $500 fake IWG watch that mirrors it...i on very special occations will wear the real one... the fake one i wear more often as my "beater".... if asked, i tell them whats up

im so thankfully ive done that cuz ive beat up the replica one pretty bad accidently...id be crushed if it was the real one i did it too

only differences are the complications if you open up the watch and know what to look for
I heard you, and get it but I'll say as a fellow watch enthusiasts, I'll give you this view/opinion, we enjoy these watches because of the design and precision craftsmanship each model represents, you must like the look of your IWC, but the replica just has the look and none of the craftsmanship the authentic has, you could have gotten a nice watch with similar design you like for everyday use. Of course they all tell time but a cheap $50 quartz watch is way more accurate than even a 6 figure tourbillon masterpiece, if so why do we buy expensive watches then?
