Jordan x KAWS 4 Black “Cyber Monday” 11/27/17 release thread

PJ is trash. If he would put more into his game, like he does with his shoes, He would be a good player. instead dude just rocks kicks to get attention.:rolleyes

I mean he's good enough for the NBA and to stick around as long as he has. Not everyone can be a superstar or elite talent

kaws reminds me a lot of edward norton.

sounds just like him

ps- i have a question

do you guys think that apps like goat and stockx have affected the "community" of Niketalk?

i'll elaborate...been on here for years and there was a time where members found a happy medium of making a few dollars off a flip and still selling to other members at a price less than resell market value. friendships and connections were made and it was pretty cool.

times have changed it's a younger crowd. not to mention the sneaker thing blew up and NT is no longer the only source of people with the shared hobby. Everyone's into sneakers whether they're on NT or not so people have friends and associates so to speak in the real world now.

do you agree with this or am I the only one not seeing NT fam transactions going down

I don't think it was GOAT/Stockx that did it. I think it was Instagram and social media. Everyone can be a somebody nowadays on social media. Before social media there were serious barriers to starting your own business - register name, rent premises, fit out premises, stock up inventory, hire staff etc. Nowadays, every man and his dog is a business on Instagram - just create an account, take some photos of kicks, and tell people you can supply 100% authentic shoes. People see some other famous 'celebrities' on Instagram making money this way and think they can replicate it.

yeah thats why most times I don't do pre-orders because either of 2 things can happen:

1. you preorder on a low price and after release date, the price shoots up and the seller realizes how much more money they can get so they make up a BS story about how they couldn't get it and refund you and then end up selling for more to another seller. Kicks-crew.com is known for this. I've fell to 1 or 2 preorders like this in the past. Paid for preorders on Supreme 5's at $350, got refunded and the seller listed them back up at $550.

2. you preorder at whatever price, and then after release date, the price drops drastically and you ended up spending a lot more than you would have if you had just waited after release date to cop from resellers or something. Now you're filled with regret. This story happened to me with the DSM 1's. Paid $500 something I think, and now you can't even sell them for retail at $200.

That's assuming they don't run off with your money either lol

Hey guys! Hoping to get some help.

I have an extra pair of DS zebras that I'd like to trade for a pair of Kaws. What's the going rate size 9-9.5. Would I have to add cash? How much?

Thanks for the help

Everyone has their own choice, and do as they please, it's fine. Personally I believe in investing in something of good quality, worth that hard earned money. If you buy that cheaper item you might not be satisfied or it falls apart and you end up buying the better quality item down the line, you would have paid more with 2 purchases, instead of one and done. In some instances if you spent wisely, some items even when used retain much of the value or even gains.
I'd have to agree w/this 100% let's face it you get what you pay for.

like Detroit kicks who robbed me for $220 plus the $ it cost me to return a wack pair they sent me instead of the retro 9's I ordered? Before returning they promised they had the correct pair waiting to mail to me! Beware they will straight up steal your $ and not think twice...

PJ Tucker is making 3.7mm this year. If you make $100k a year, he makes 37x times. Even if he paid $1500 resale for these, $1500 / 37 = $40. Him wearing those is like someone that makes $100k a year wearing a $40 pair of beaters to the rec.
I was listening to a podcast with Jay Williams a while ago and he made a similar point saying if all these 20-something millionairs are together and play dice-games for a couple 1000 it´s basicly the same as us playing for a couple of dollars for fun. It´s still not a clever thing to do, but I can understand the point.

Confused??? No I wouldn't call it drama more like a true story w/a hella awful ending. But guess thank for the strange video (which I will not watch).. Besides I was only commenting on the already existing pre-order book

Your original post mentioned Detroit Kicks who scammed you. That video talks about the current big drama situation in sneaker community where people have been scammed by some known figures, including Detroit Kicks. My vid post was confirming your comments. Was helping you.

But since "you will not watch", stay confused(???).

I apologize for coming off like a smart ***, unfortunately nowadays so many people seem to make fun of you when you post something honest? As you were only being helpful I honestly feel stupid and hope you except my apologie and I can assure you I'll be watching that video in a sec.. Again sorry friend

All good.
PM.

Video was going well until he compared Scoop to a getaway driver from a murder. Such a terrible analogy. The only way Scoop could be held responsible is if someone can prove hr knew DK was scamming people and still promoted it.
Exactly! Dude ready to turn States evidence a bit too much for me. Also he was incorrect on so many things regarding the law he needs to leave that to the lawyers. I'm all for outing scammers but he needs to stay in his own lane and mind his business. Some of these people need to learn a lesson and quit getting ganked repeatedly.
