Alpha Industries Parka Thread

Im in Toronto and earlier seen a dude wearing the green parka (was gonna ask if was a nter but said eff it) and I'm glad I didn't cop for myself. Wasnt feeling the pics and didn't look good to me in person. Felt too many on here copped just because of price. I did order two n3b parkas in black for my daughter and nephew for $27 each and today I got the tracking info.

that is a good coat tho srs. quality is excellent.

for braving the cold....its great....probably the warmest coat you can get.

and for less than 30 dollars.......

its gonna be cold in your life sometime somewhere papi.

Coats that are really warm like that are good because you don't have to layer. Can just wear a t-shirt under and be good.

[h5]These older reviews state the parka fits small. Anyone get them in hand yet?[/h5][h5]  [/h5][h5]5XL FITS LIKE 3XL. BEWARE[/h5]

While the coat is great in terms of quality-I searched high and low for an expedition type quality parka and was greatly disappointed by sizing claim. I urge the company to increase its sizes and have accurate sizing. I don't care if a 8xl is required but not in product line. But if 5xl is labeled, it should not fit like a 3xl. Great products but very misleading about size. Now my upcoming trip disrupted.

i wanted this gold parka because i love this color. they didn't have this color for females so i ordered men. i wear a xl in women so i figured it would be plenty big for me in men. wrong! i had to return twice before i got the right fit. i ended up with a 3x. love the coat!q52

I mean there's no shame in copping for the price, I literally just need a coat for those subzero weather days. If it looks fly that's an added bonus, but stuff like going to work or walking to the store I don't care if I look fly.

The tumbleweed one looks promisingly fashionable though.
. Yeah I get it. If you don't own a warm winter coat and you want something just to keep you toasty without breaking the bank, then by all means do your thing. But I've been living in Canada my whole life so I have accumulated a ish load of jackets that provide different degrees of warmth, and imo they all look better than that green *** parka. I developed the same mindset many years ago regarding buying sneakers. If I'm contemplating copping a pair of kicks (with the exception of shoes for basketball and running), I first ask myself if that pair of sneakers looks better than my favourite 10 pairs of shoes I already own. If the answer is no, then it's a simple pass for me. Also with any article of clothing I buy on sale, I ask myself does this jacket or sweater or pair of shoes look dope enough that I would actually pay up to 75 percent of the retail price? Or does it look like something I would only cop at a steep discount? If my close homies seen me in that green or yellow parka, they would immediately assume the latter.

I listened to the NTer who said size up and I would have been ****** if I didn't.

I went up to a L and it's still a lil tight in the chest and shoulders.

I'm 5'11 185lbs, 42" chest. Slim but pretty developed chest and shoulders. I don't think a M would have fit.

Ha. You guys probably made their warehouse employees quit when few thousand orders came in all on the same day.

what happened?

someone aware me on this thread i copped an alpha industries parka but years ago

What was the JIG?
Sale promo for 70%off?
Dam missed it. Needed a new winter coat too.

reading some of the reviews....and a Russian cat is saying this coat can't handle anything below -10 (celsius). Other models have weak snap buttons it seems.

"The parka has a 100% two-tone nylon shell and 100% polyester lining and fill." >>>

Not that they don't look good.

Mine are coming in slowly. One by one. These are mad nice though for $30 shipped. The N-3B W3X Parka feels much better than the Altitude jacket. The cut and quality seems nicer.

I also like how they zip all the way up to damn near the top of your head. Nice warm jacket.

AI shipping is booty.

$30 coats :nerd: I slept on this thread. But I got a new one for Christmas so I don't think I should bother.

Repped! If you get a chance could you add some fit picks and maybe list size you got with height and weight? Thanks!

Sizing is confusing because there's actually two different parkas that went on sale. But everyone keeps thinking it's the same one. One of them was the Altitude Parka which I purchased and is a longer length hence why I sized down. The other parka, I forgot the name is shorter in which I would've went TTS.
