NYC in the winter?
Ok so it's gotta be indoors, and we want it to be interactive.
Museum sounds good. Or a play. Or a concert.
They have those one-off art classes where you drink wine and somebody teaches you how to paint something.

Here's what I'd say if you were in CA in the winter time
-The zoo
-Shoot some automatic weapons at a gun range, then head to the tavern for libations
 
Movies has to be the worst idea for dating ever.

I would say anything that involves talking in an area that won't be drowned with noise. I assume you don't know much about this girl so a place like a mellow dinner, hike in a nice area, beach settings with some wine, festivals if you city has it, some local events if it is food festival or wine tasting, etc. All that can be a great way to just chill and talk and see if it can be taken to the next level.
 
Just grab a coffee and chill fam. A first date is only to see if it goes to the next step anyway. No point in going all out on a first date.

But foreal keep that first date quick and simple. You jus feeling the chick out to see if you wanna invest anymore time in her. Coffee, drinks, even chillin in the park and take a walk. Keep it to about a hour unless sparks fly. Second date is when I would go more active so there's that chance of physical touching(bowling, mini golf, pool hall etc)...
 
Question..... lol ...... maybe op may want to know but what if his date turns to getting head and you have that ball deodorant on. Can she munch on these with no problems or will I need some Aquafina to wash it off. I haven't gotten a complaint with my almonds.

Watch Deadpool it's kinda funny too ! You'll have a cool time. Go eat some KBBQ so you won't talk as much. Makes room for possible dates if you choose to, or hit it etc.

This, I cringe when I hear women I know talking about expensive first dates with dudes they never saw again.

This. Museums are good, lunch/dinner is good too. Do not go to the movies, not a good first date option. Go for a walk, or hell, just walk around Manhattan, you can literally bump into **** to do. Good luck OP.
