I got an email notification this morning that a PayPal transaction from November 5 is being disputed

Haven't responded on PayPal yet but will when at work today

I requested the buyers eBay user information and tried to reach out to the email listed in the notification (came back undeliverable)

Any other suggestions to get my $$$ back?

what exactly happened? Did you sell something and the buyer made a claim?

Call paypal... as long as you sent it to the address on file.. you're good

This is also why you should Print your shipping label through ebay.

Try to find out why the buyer disputed the transaction, If you still have details of your listing send screenshots to paypal and if you still have pictures of the sold item, send it also. I've had a person try to file a claim against me and I was initially charged, but didn't pay it. I eventually won the case but it took awhile to be looked into. Ebay buyer scammers are the worse. They may have those funds for the time being but eventually they'll owe it.

Dang, broke boys.

If you don't have the funds now or in the future, don't even consider putting in a bid.

i sold a pair of flight 89's back in November and the buyer filed the claim...received the email late last night

damn, coughing up a little bit of crow here...

wasn't flight 89's that i sold...it's a kate spade purse my wife sold

looks like my wife did not print label through ebay >:

not sure why cause she usually does or has me do it

edit: now that i look at the pics i think it was sold for my niece who is half way across the country...and she had her husband ship it

and i can guarantee they don't have a receipt or tracking information

What is the claim for?

If its for non receipt and you dont have tracking = screwed

If its for unauthorized transaction you may still have hope.

Scammers try anything nowadays

Get paypal to check the IP address of the buyer. If the buyer's a dumbass, he probably didn't use a VPN during your transaction. An unauthorized transaction claim is basically a dispute that somebody other than that person made the transaction. If Paypal can verify that the payment was made on his usual IP address/device, that would very likely render an unauthorized payment claim invalid.

I've had a buyer charge back $280 for a virtual good under "unauthorized transaction" but I asked paypal to verify his IP address and the dispute was closed in my favor within a day or 2.

my wife texted me the receipt my niece sent awhile back...fortunately she had texted that back when it was shipped

spoke w/ paypal and they put the funds in my account and said nothing else is needed on my part...they will just go back to the credit card company to fight the dispute and it's covered under the seller protection policy

nice, as long as the shipping address is confirmed and the tracking shows you shipped to that zip code, you're good.
