What car to buy for < $10k ?

OP you too good for a Altima ? With 10k a 2015 Altima should be your only choice, smarten up.

2003-05 Lexus GS300/430 They are damn near classic status, and you can find a clean one for around 7-8k. Plus they last for 300k+ when well taken care of. 97-00 Lexus SC's are the same way...

Always liked the old GSs. I just don't like how much I'ma pay for a damn year 20 year old car. Sure engine is fine but then suspension and interior parts wear down.

I also like small economy cars. Just a good feeling being able to park a beater anywhere you want and not care. Filling it up with $10 is a plus.

Toyota Corolla is looking good right now . Will go to test drive a Toyota Avalon later and just to get it out of my system a 2001 Cobra

Maybe a Subaru wagon if I can swing it.

I'm also now thinking a SUV or truck that can tow so later on if I decided to get a airstream or something I can. But then I can always trade up if it comes to that

Damn shorty did you dirty OP :smh: ...but if u look hard enough you can find a Lexus LS 430 with good mileage at that price range...ultra reliable , smooth ride , n some of the design /tech is still good for today :pimp:

2009-2010 BMW 5 series, Benz E Class, or Audi A6, Lexus IS.

Horrible recommendations.

For $10k I would look into Acura TL, accords, corollas, and civics. Anything "fast" will be old and beat to death, unless you get lucky.

I would also look into a rebuilt title (serious), if it's properly fixed up, you could get something that's the same as the regular titled car, but several thousands cheaper.

A Lexus IS would be really reliable. Those other brands, not so much.

Just get a damn Camry or Honda.

Both cars? Well damn.....get married brehs

My picks from the Japan big 3

Acura Integra
Acura TL
Acura RSX

Lexus GS
Lexus IS
Lexus SC

Infiniti G35
Infiniti EX35

04-08 TL's & TSX's are nice and cheap
copped an '04 TSX 3 years ago for $6k, I'd recommend an '06-'08 instead

You can also find a Subaru WRX for under $10k. It has standard AWD and a turbocharged flat-4 banger, can't beat that. :pimp:

04-08 Acura TL the best bang for under $10k

100k+ miles is like low mileage for that powertrain.

They pull really hard for a 270hp FWD V6.

I test drove a 96 Impala SS and a 2004 Mustang GT Auto one day..then hopped back in my Acura and it felt

so much quicker than both.

Great winter car my maintainance has been very low....

I have comfy heated beautiful classy looking heated seats, sunroof, navigation, bluetooth phone and audio, rear view cam and remote start.

This is my 15th vehicle and its been the most reliable least headache by far

We need more of a backstory b.

What cars she take?

You got kids? How old? Custody?

Im engaged right now. I need to know these things being I live a savage lifestyle.

Get a second or third-gen GS. They hold their value well for a reason. If you go with a 2nd gen, you'll have money left over to pay for any services that the previous owner neglected. Make sure stuff like the water pump and timing belt were replaced around the 100K mile mark.

If I wasn't giving my GS to my little brother, I'd be driving it until the wheels fell off.

Just got divorced, wife took both cars.

I have $10k. Don't want a car payment. What should I get?

Always wanted a Mustang Cobra, love the 1999-2004's. Only non supercharged ones are in my price range though.

Hold up bro. SOrry to hear about your divorce, but how did your ex get both cars? She cant drive two, unless you have a teenager who will be driving the other one.

Other than that, I don't follow.

Get any lexus with da 2JZ motor. :pimp:

I had a 2004 is300 and put about 180k on it while smashing in it ALL day, red lining and all that. All the maintenance I ever did was basically change oil, tires, brake pads, and stuff like that. The only sort of major repair where I had to bring the car to a shop was to replace the cylinder head gasket, which wasn't all that major because like all rubber parts, they dry out/wear down over time and needs to be replaced. I'd still be driving it but a cab driver wrecked it at the beginning of 2016. =(

I'm 28, no kids, but she has a kid. No custody, no spousal support, no child support, etc.

We were married for less than 3 years, so we qualified for a summary dissolution. Basically, a quick, pain free divorce process.

You're supposed to sit down and write a property agreement, agreeing on what property will be divided.

We had a 2014 Mustang and a 2008 Civic.

When I was moving out, she took the keys to the Civic and wouldn't let me take it.

It's registered in her name and we do have an agreement saying that the Civic goes to me, but she isn't upholding the agreeement.

Would be fairly easy to take her to court and get it, but I don't care at this point. She was so toxic to my life, I don't even want her knowing where I'm at or dealing with her again. Money comes and goes, its not a big deal to me.

CA is a terrible state for divoce. I honestly would never get married again, the process is disgusting :smh: and expensive.

Depends on the state you're in, might be wise to get married.

I pulled the trigger because we were living together and paying rent, so we could save on taxes and whatnot. Made sense.

She made tons of $ last year and needs deductions and exemptions. If shes going to be this way to me, I'm not filing my taxes with her, going to let her get f**ked and have to pay back the IRS, let her file married and seperate. So yes, that's my payback :smokin

Going to look at a 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe today, 6MT. One owner, service history, ugly color (graphite), but whatever. 124k miles, asking $6.9k, hope I can bring it down with a cash deal

Also found a mint Porsche Boxster S in my range, but I can''t do it man. IMO its the best bargain sports car, but its a total chick car.

On a side note, I work on my own cars as a hobby.

I just need a damn car, Uber everywhere right now :smh:
