Hello

I know alot of you guys do overseas travel
I'm looking for a cheap prepaid cellphone for my time in holland :smokin
it does not have to be a smart phone
a no frills phone will work

Would like to buy the phone in the states before i fly out

Can anyone suggest a website or phone to buy and what company i should use for the lowest cost calling the US

You can buy a SIM card there and use it on your phone, assuming it's unlocked.

In some parts, you can walk into a convenient store and just buy it. Easy to obtain.

you can also call your provider here to see if they have an international plan.

i know ATT has one for starting at like $30/month.

just cancel it when you get back home.

If you have T-Mobile, you can roam for free. Data speeds would be capped but you can definitely use it. I am sure the same applies for AT&T and Verizon. Roaming on overseas partner networks is the new selling point and it is free.

Also, Amsterdam is a WiFi city. Lot of free public Wifi. Just make sure you don't connect to random WiFi and check sensitive data (like bank accounts etc). If you are connected to the Wifi and have t-mobile service w/phone, you can make WiFi calls back to the states or within Amsterdam.
