I'm surprised by a fair amount with the draft.. but that's why I kinda think we should have had 3 separate music drafts with different genre groupings

but personally, I really really like J.. but I don't love him like I do others.. respect the hell out of his body of work.. but I wouldn't take any of his albums of certain guys singular albums

if it was a hip hop only draft reasonable doubt would've went in the 1st.

I was thinking of switching it up and going rock with that pick, but I couldn't pass up on the value of taking RD in the mid-third round.

Plus, I do genuinely love that album

only 3 artists have had more than 1 album selected in this draft:
  1. Tupac
  2. Nas
  3. Kendrick Lamar

Nirvana too
yea.. missed that one

but this is why I'm saying we could easily go more than 5 rounds.. or more than 2 UDFAs

but really I think we should have gone 3 drafts:

1) hip hop/rap/dance hall reggae (so beanie man and sean paul would be here)

2) r&b/neo soul/lovers rock reggae/conscious reggae/softer reggae (maxi priest would be here)

3) everything else

I hate Jay Z and Nas comparisons
Those two old farts don't even care for the rivalry anymore

It was just a joke about him having a album go first

Maybe not his best album (or maybe it is :nerd:) but it's my favorite album from him

Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

the "movie" he made for it was actually pretty cool. and the grammy performance of runaway was great.

any of the 1st 3 and in the order of release >

MBDTF was my 2nd favorite Kanye album
But you can argue that was his most complete production in his catalog
