For my 4th round pick I'm going with:

Jay-Z- The Blueprint

This was really the first Jay album that made me a super fan.
This is one of the most well flowing/cohesive albums of all time. The track order was perfect.
I'll be damned if you can just throw this album on and vibe tf out.

The album was simple, yet complex.
Jay wasn't overly lyrical, yet he was giving you conventional wisdom and stories like it was just you and him in a room.
Every listen I feel like I'm talking/listening to one of my big homies.
Most of the songs have been taken down from youtube :smh:

It also dropped on 9/11 and Ye laced him with classics.

"Rumor has it The Blueprint classic
Couldn't even be stopped by Bin Laden
So September 11th marks the era forever
Of a revolutionary Jay Guevera
Now it's a whole museum of, Hov MCers
Everybody dupin' the flow, you see 'em
Everybody loopin' up soul
It's like you tryin to make The Blueprint 2 before Hov"

i don't listen to a ton of music outside of rock/alt/metal...but jay is one artist i def get down with. like him a lot. tupac. and of course dre. not much else. but will be checking out some of the artists i've seen drafted after checking out the youtubes posted. great idea for this draft :pimp:

I got gym music..

Then very specific CDs I got for my Bose alarm and just in case in my car.. basically CDs I had when folks still bought those things.. and then I'll get greatest hits and stuff

One of my closest friends is a DJ.. and he loves playing shht other than rap, hip hop and current reggae since he has to play that a ton for gigs here

But I've learned a ton just being there watching and listening to him do his thing and having drinks.. like literally would jus tell hang with him on certain gigs.. we got our own bottle of rum and just behind the DJ area jammin

But football/boarding school was huge for me with rock and essentially white music.. position groups would get to pick music.. so learned a lot about classic rock and other shht when in the weight room

I really think we should run 3 music drafts after super bowl time when shht really dies down..

Cause should be multiple albums for a ton of guys.. J should have at least 4-5

Song cry is a masterpiece
I love the unplugged performance, too bad youtube trippin

My selection: Erykah Badu- "Baduizm"

A classic Neo-soul album. I remember listening to this back in the day on my way to VA to pick up my pops from the Army reserves.

timeless record, Dope production from The Roots.

Can't go wrong with it.

On and On one of my favorite songs to listen to while :smokin
