HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US VOL.#FREESHIA

Tell that to all the kids in Syria who used social media to broadcast their protests. Old heads and ignorant people have made social media synonymous with world star hip hop...there are actually people who use it as a media outlet to express their grievances.

"Old Heads? Bruh, I'm 29, not all of this generation, agrees with the stances made by this "generation". Ironically, world star broadcasts just as much idiotic things done by older people, as young.

Y'all need to stop acting as if things are generational nowadays. Things have really come full circle. Most importantly, stop acting as if these internet users and phone clutchers are any different than people like trump. Regardless of gender or race. I'm a black male so, honestly, no one can show or tell my about anything that I haven't researched or seen with my own two eyes.

Shia Lebouf is mad because his career is down in the dumps

Dude looking like Forrest Gump when he ran that 50 state marathon.

every home got a smartphone, refrigerator, tv.

Americans are dying of obesity, not starvation....

we are da 1% of da world.... American execeptionalism personified.
1)that's not true; there are many people who don't even have the basic necessities of life here, let alone smart phones and TVs. Those are the people that are really being ignored by society, not the uneducated Midwestern and Southern hicks who choose not to educate themselves and adapt to life in the current century

2)saying that Americans are exceptional and well off because they have phones and TVs means you have terrible standards in life. Let's ignore the government corruption, trash schools, terrible infrastructure, widespread racism, etc. because there's starving people in third world countries, and at least most of us don't have to deal with that...how about comparing the US to "first world" countries instead, many of which outrank us in literacy, lack of ignorance, career training, healthcare, etc.? If not for Silicon Valley and Wall Street, the US would be irrelevant.

You're so thirsty to attack someone you don't see how you're making yourself look.

The internet is part of the complacency you ******* dummy.
The internet is not part of complacency, there are people out there actually marching in the streets and broadcasting it on the internet. If the internet made you a fat, lazy bum that's on YOU but don't speak for the rest of us.

The internet is not part of the complacency

Talks about people who are complacent cuz of the internet

Why weren't these people marching 5-7 years ago? Huh? We just going to totally ignore that there are gaps? These same people just want to join in the tug of war for attention

pretty much.

The woman's march is being broadcasted heavily on the internet....didn't stop drones of women from flying out to DC to march.

-Again, if you are lazy/complacent the internet is not going to make a difference. Because you would've been lazy with just TV or newspapers as well.

Negative, you the

Go right ahead and follow the philosophies of people like Shia Lebouf. Why aren't you out marching, or live streaming these revolts? Get off NT and go put your feet to the concrete

When someone starts talking about how great poor people in America have it, just know that person is a buffoon pedaling a dog whistle.

Look at which minority groups are disproportionately poor, and think about how it sounds to tell those people they should be somehow thankful they don't live in a third world country.

Maybe because Obama wasn't threatening to grab women by the balls and take away their reproductive rights.

As far as police brutality overexposure + cameras + THEINTERNET made people more aware.

-Apparently this is like nuclear medicine for you guys.

Trump ran for president in the 80s, has been arrogant forever, yet, those same people tuned into "The Apprentice", stayed at his hotels, golf courses, WORKED in his building but... the INTERNET. AND, they voted him into office. Hush bruh, you're a sourpuss.

I didn't vote for the jackass Trump but people acting surprised about his character is laughable. Candidates were so piss poor this year, it proved many points about American culture

Every time the media becomes more diverse and more accessible things tend to change. And that's no even to say no one was protesting back then maybe it wasn't published.

For instance people have been protesting violence in the black community for YEARS, it just looks like its picking up steam now because more awareness and better exposure.

I guess you never read a JET, Essence, or Ebony magazine. Heck, a newspaper or tuned into local news. Black violence has been getting exposure forever. The PEOPLE didn't care because they were content or didn't care because they were not affected.

Stop with the "exposure" excuse. It's old

You are a duck

its da truth though.

We used to compare this country to other developed countries.

Today, we are comparing the US to third world countries.

It means expectations and standards are slipping.

That's regressing, not progressing.

thats the point

its condescending af to tell people who are struggling that they should be happy that they aren't struggling more

white people holding a gun telling black people who have a bullet hole in them at least you aren't dead.

They might be poor and have no access to proper schools, but at least they have smartphones though! :pimp: What an amazing standard of life

that was always da problem. If you're content where you live, there's little reason for you to migrate. Mostly all 1st generation immigrants that come to da United States come from da 3rd world, so for many, that direct comparison is not only relevant, its da only barometer of ascendency they see that's tangible.

Trump ran for president when he had no chance to win so no one gave a sh. He saw the post Obama's America as an opportunity to pander to racists, misogynists, the uneducated, and insecure white men. He ran at a PERFECT time.

It adds up but i have a hard time giving dude that much credit

Whether that's true or not the fact you have a system where a guy like him can run and win is insane.

Wow.

I just hope that there is enough of us who don't think like you because when the rest of the world evolves and we stagnate, we fall behind. When you fall behind, you lose relevance and your life becomes harder because you have little to offer to the outside world and the outside world has very little reason to deal with you. You go from sending people on the Moon to not being able to graduate enough literate high school students to participate in a changing economy.

How many of y'all watched the whole video and feel like you've been brainwashed to the point that you gon wake up tomorrow saying "he will not divide us" like a hypnotized zombie? I know I am

Bigup to Shia for pushing the culture forward

I felt like it was like that episode of the Simpsons with "The Leader".

we get more and more divided by the second

the hate grows faster than the dark side can spread

next stop civil war

Da colonized mind

da fully aware mind.

i don't see da mass migration from da E.U., Canada or Australia to America...its China and Mexico, and da rest of da 3rd world.

Da fully colonized mind

-People from third world counties that do migrate don't exclusively migrate to America, they migrate to the nearest developing or developing country that will accept them.

-Being poor in America sucks. It doesn't suck worst than being rich (or upper middle class) in a third world (probably rich only applies here) or developing country. Dismissing our poverty problem with "be thankful" is top self nonsense. No one should be thankful to be in poverty, and if America is so great, we shouldn't take pride in our poor not being better off than the poor in the third world

That is a ridiculously low bar to set; and it is a massive insult to the country as a whole, not a compliment

Wow you're coming for ninahood's crown

Why do you care about validation and attention from whites, asians, etc? You need their approval? Those same cultures copied and pillaged hip hop, wore Jordan's and streetwear, copied us to no avail. They couldn't see the oppression though. They saw EVERYTHING accept the oppression. Point is, they knew but never cared.

We don't want to extinguish the internet but, we are going to call out and punch the hypocrisy square in the mouth. You don't know much, buddy.
