does the wwe continue to own wrestlers names when they sign? like if aj styles or samoa joe were ever released would they have to go by another name?
 
When WWE uses someones current name, while that individual is under contract, it's a joint venture. Once it is over, rights go back to the wrestler. That's what I was told about the likes of AJ, Joe, etc...
 
funny how vince thinks the numbers make wrestlemania sound old but he keeps on using old names for mania :smh:

Independent wrestlers with success normally have leverage in using their brands that they've built. WWE is able to use the name but has to split profits when it comes to things such as merchandise, video games, etc.

I don't get anything out of that Robert Shamburger's artwork. I don't understand why WWE pushes it so much. I can't imagine anyone actually buys and wears that stuff.
