When you see disrespectful promotional tactics that de-emphasize the most reliable and consistently fan-favored wrestlers during a federation's most visible events, it's easy to see why some high profile competitors who value their freedom over hard dollars and are content to be recognized within the sport choose to stay on the independent and global scene. Kind of like how like there's a Marbury statue somewhere in China.
