Southeast Asia Trip - Who's Been?

Check out the food courts in Singapore too! There's a lot of good affordable spots there if you're on a budget

It's one of my favorite countries in Asia but damn, everything is so expensive for typical Asian standards. You have to hop on the metro to hunt for the affordable spots in Chinatown, Little India, etc. if you're staying in the central part of the city. Paying $20 USD for cocktails and simple dishes was painful

I don't mind the high prices when I see how well kept, efficient, and beautiful everything is there. Compared to expensive cities like NYC and SF where there's trash, crazy bums,ancient/dirty public transportation, and torn up roads everywhere, Singapore is paradise  Every time I hop off the plane when I come back from there, I feel like I've arrived in a 4th world country. It's THAT nice over there.

what's a good way to travel between SEA

like from vietnam to thailand or vice versa

and those countries to philippines?

^ budget airlines + book early is the way to go if u wanna get cheap flights.

anything coming from sg will have 5+ flights a day to places like mnl , bkk , kul, jak, which all can be had for less than 100usd , with kl to sg going for way less than that.

check airasia, cebu pacific, jetstar, for cheapflights

thailand to vietnam by land routes ive never tried

Like mentionned before, budget airlines is the way to go.

If you have time and don't mind the hassle, the train and the bus can help you save some money but the ride can be painful.
