So I interviewed for a promotion at the job that prob would have made me set for life. Unfortunately, I didn't get the promotion and I've legit been contemplating getting hammered even though I've been sober for 16 months. The person who got the promotion is less qualified than me but is married to my boss's daughter. I'm some what of a perfectionist and don't take failure lightly, even though I've made several mistakes throughout my life and am a flawed person. This is hard though because I felt I had the promotion because promises were made to me. My life sucks major balls, it's like I take one step forward but can't get past glass ceilings. My drinking problems in the past stemmed from me not being able to handle rejections and failure. I'm at wits end but fighting to keep a level head and stay sober, but I can't catch a break in life. This thread is for those who catch Ls although I'm prob the biggest loser on this forum lol :x:smh:
 
Bro don't touch that bottle. You hit a minor set back.

Haviny a drink just to cope when you've been sober for months is a potentially life changing set back.

Stay positive and stay away from that type of reaction to stress.

Don't get down man, and please don't go back to drinking. It's not worth erasing all that hard work man.
 
You should really look up to the guy that is with your boss's daughter, hes the guy in the office thats really setting the bar 
 
I was plotting running up there with the ski mask but I changed my mind because I need my job lol . These fools pretty much guaranteed a 40k raise and made it seem like I was guaranteed to get the promotion. When I found out I didn't get it I almost punched someone because everyone made it seem like the job was mine.

Or it might just be nepotism and he's not setting the bar at all.

OP needs to focus on himself, not another man.

Mr.Guy Mr.Guy have you already considered looking for an external move up at another firm?

but he'll probably never catch a domestic 
 
I may put in my two week notice tomorrow and put hands on my boss because I'm pissed. Naw jk.

Dude doesn't even have a higschool diploma and word around the company is that he smokes meth, but his family has money.
 
It took so much restraint for me not to punch my boss today. I almost lost control but I need my job. The money I make now isn't bad but a 40k raise would have been life changing.
 
Go fap and then hit up the job boards. You're qualified for that promotion, then you're qualified for equal positions elsewhere.

Fapping is the last thing on my mind lol. I want to punch someone lol.
 
It wouldn't hurt so bad if the promotion wasn't promised to me. My boss had me picking out paint colors for my new office and everything.

The boss had me picking out new office chairs, computer, paint in the office, work car etc only to fake. When he told me they decided to promote his son in law I wanted to ufc choke his *** out.
 
They had me go to a dealership to look for company cars and everything smh.
