Name an adult show that didnt have a "go to bar" vol. alcoholism push

Always Sunny makes up for the rest of the teetotaling non sense on other shows by being set almost entirely in a bar.

I tried to keep it to sitcoms but if it's just adult shows with no go to bars and not family shows in general I could name a 100 more.

Man they phased out Nipsey's

Plus it was called Nipsey's Lounge.

I feel like they frequented several places over the seasons but it's not the freshest in my mind.

As in a regular bar they chilled at or has the show ever had a bar scene?

i would say repeated. not necessarily regular, but theyve been to on more than 2 or 3 occasions.

whoever said New Girl....slap yourself. 2 of the main characters own a bar and one of the other ones worked there.
I forgot that

I think of Nick as a failed writer more than a bar owner. Plus the place just throws me off with how open it is.

In New Girl, Nick Miller works in a bar and they hang out there all the time....

no but thats definitely " a bar they go to "

they aren't going to nipseys to grab a table and getting waited on...they go to the bar.

Scrubs certainly had a bar. Just because they didn't go all the time doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Every scene of them drinking out was at the same bar. Hell, it was a running joke that JD ordered appletinis at the bar.

hmm...I think the relative scarcity of examples has backed your point, OP. where we going with this, this seems kinda interesting.

Alcohol is pushed as a coping mechanism for stress in most shows.

Every cop show, doctor show ends with people suggesting getting a drink because a hard day.

Alcoholism is the 3rd leading lifestyle-related cause of death in the nation

Alcohol dependence costs the U.S. $170 billion per year.

In New Girl two of the main characters are joint owners of a bar....it seems like 1/3 scenes take place at said bar.
Scrubs also had a regular bar; don't think it was ever named though.

I can dig it.

I see what you mean, people responding to stressful situations or lubricating social ones with a drink is always depicted as acceptable, even preferable.

it is weird that you can't really replace alcohol with most other drugs in common perception...for example, people always talk about coping with their kids or whatever with a glass of wine at bedtime while if somebody posted about how they were glad they finally went to sleep so they could pop their nightly xan bar, smoke a few cigarettes and fall asleep watching Friends on Netflix, they'd lose their kids overnight.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the premise of this post.

Op didn't stipulate that the show had to have no bars at all.

The show had to not have a go to bar.

If we're talking about adult shows with no bars well I'll leave it to yall to comb through every episode.

Zik's list is way off.
I mean these alt facts say otherwise but even if I gave it to each show disputed it at best knocks off 4 or 5 shows and I'm pretty sure I can replace those 5.

Again I tried to keep it to sitcoms just cuz Op said the shows to leave out were sitcoms.

If we keep going I'm sure there's tons more.

In relation to TV shows, what's the point you're making?

EDIT: Nvm... you're saying it's pushed as a coping mechanism.
