The stakes don't match the results, he should be prosecuted for manslaughter. A Walmart employee would be fired for even approaching them.
 
He/she will be charged

That's why now even security or employees can't lay a finger on shop lifters in most stores

Letting people shoot whoever they want when they "feel threatened" after jumping into something that didn't involve them seems like a pretty big problem to me too.

You throw your life away for someone else's problem. There's no reward, you get nothing out of it. Mind you own business.

I've seen people steal all the time, not my money, not my problem.

A 16-year-old girl was robbed and shoved onto subway tracks in Brooklyn in a frightening confrontation with at least 10 other teens, police said Monday.

The girl hurt her head and her ankle but is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

The attack happened just past 8 p.m. Sunday at the Utica Ave. station on the IRT line in Crown Heights.


The victim was on the southbound platform when 10 to 15 other teens, all boys, confronted her.


She was shoved to the tracks, at which point two of the suspects jumped down onto the roadbed, beat her up, then stole her knit hat, denim jacket, school ID and $20.

As the suspects fled, a good Samaritan helped the victim back up to the platform.

She was treated at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center and released, police said.

The suspects described were being sought Monday. Police at first thought she knew her attackers, but she later said she did not recognize them and that the incident happened too fast for her to see their faces.

I can pretty much guarantee you enough people were there to stop it but did nothing...

da Walmart shoplifting is ridiculous thou, once I realized shops have insurance for shrinkage and shoplifting, I stopped caring along time ago... however, others like playing da hero and wanna be a good Samaritan.

Ninja, come on man. If he saw that and wanted to get involved....he should have put his fists up and only his fists. It's no excuse for him to pull out and fire. It was over some diapers man.

Edit: just to be clear, I don't condone shoplifting. **** bugs me when I see it in person.

In regards to both sides.....all I see is 2 wrongs.

Wal-Mart probably has cameras all over the inside of the store and in the parking lot. They probably would've caught the guy within hours. Now two lives down the drain over some diapers.

I know I wouldn't be quick to save Wal-Mart a few dollars via vigilantism. Maybe a mom and pop, but still I wouldn't be shooting people.
