2017 Best Places to Live in America vol. NYC didn't crack top 20 cities

list is garbage

Author went out of his way to not mention NYC. A lot happens in NYC Monday morning than Friday night at some of these places and that is one of the few reasons why NYC >. Job prospects are abundant, earning is based how hard you hustle and affordability is a matter of perspective.

Wash your face right now your bleeding

North Carolina having 2 of the 10 is surprising

Why so buddy, we got it going on here now.

:pimp:

Raleigh/Durham native.

I know the Raleigh area is huge for well paying pharma/biotech jobs.
Yea that's my industry pharma...great industry but job lost can be mad random.

North Carolina is dope and growing, but the politics there are rough. You have some very liberal spots surrounded by very conservative spots.

I don't mess with anyplace outside of the major cities here. Complete unease vibes, weirdos and ignorance. But I guess you can say that about every state.

My friends in LA can't believe the life I live here. They so ready to get out of LA tho.

Grand Rapids, Michigan and Des Moines, Iowa in the Top 20?

This list is exclusively for #FFFFFF people, I shall pay it no mind.

Thank god someone else said it.

My first thought when I clicked the thread was this list aint for blacks.

As black man from Houston I would say Austin is pretty nice. Very open minded. I don't feel slighted to least as black man when i visit.

Houston proper, while it is diverse most stick to their race. Except on the Northwest side it's a melting pot.

I went to Austin, two weekends ago. I didn't see what the big deal was.

But the BBQ was :smokin

Not surprised to see Seattle up there. We would be in that top 5 if it weren't for housing costs
mean.gif
I'm praying my rent doesn't skyrocket to what I'm seeing around me.

I need to check out Denver this April. I'm surprised there's no NYC nor any major cities in Flawda on the list

My brother lives in Seattle and just closed on a Half a Million dollar house last week, granted he is doing well for himself but even he told me the cost of housing is insane.

He wants to reinvest some of his income in our hometowns real estate market if possible.

I'm glad that NYC isn't on the list
The last thing we need is these hipsters from Delaware and Nebraska moving into the city, appropriating our culture and using our resources off the strength of a buzzfeed article they read while eating chobani on their beanbag chair
