Popeyes around me only takes long when they have specials and everyone is lined up for that good good. Otherwise they seem to be on point. If this was an isolated incident I would say they were just getting some fresh cooked chicken for your order. If this is always the case then I don't know bro.
If the food is good, and fresh then just be happy about that. If you waiting for trash food then stop going to that location.

I tried them the other day and I didn't enjoy it at all. The smelled reminded me of curry chicken so that had me bugging from the gate. The bad thing about it is it left a waxy residue on my tongue. I'm guessing that is from the batter, I didn't enjoy that at all. Hopefully it was just that batch, but I doubt I will try it again.
