How much are you paying and what package do you have? It seems cool but I dont like the idea of being on contract.

I've used ADT in my office for 12 years but just fell out with them.
I was paying about $60 a month - just inherited the system and kept it going. I got a new cleaner and wanted to check how long he was in for - I wasn't set up for that so they turned it on and said it would cost about 10c a day to have it record who was in and when. Got my first phone bill and it was charging about $8 each time - so morning, some lunchtimes, closing, if you left something on your desk... $8 each time - and apparently random times through the day too. My phone bill basically quadrupled.
They were really unhelpful and just said that that's how it's always been and I should speak to my phone company - they said that it was dialling a premium rate number and there is nothing they can do. ADT gave us a ridiculous runaround.
I got a recommendation for a local company and within a few weeks they changed me over - I'm now paying $25 a month and that includes all calls. He managed to just replace everything behind the panel so it looks the same other than the screen on the keypad doesn't say ADT anymore.
So, in summary, I wouldn't go near ADT again!

Yeah I have heard ADT sucks, and local companies are better. I got something in the mail for ADT which looked attractive, and gives me more services for close to what I pay now for monitoring BUT it looks like a contract.

I have ADT pulse for my warehouse. I don't remember how much installation was but they did 6 cameras, 10 motion sensors and 6 door sensors. I pay $55 a month

The best part is that they started arguing with my wife about the contract - and how para 7 said that it would cost me that much etc - but I had my copy of the original and it said nothing like that. They were just making it up and then asked me to send them my copy saying that I couldn't cancel.
At that point I just wanted it disconnected and didn't care if they billed me for the quarter but I haven't actually heard anything from them since then.
