I just assume the money was there to keep pushing out episodes regardless of quality.

I also just assume someone like Vince Gilligan said F that with Breaking Bad and ended the show on his terms due to the pride in his work.

But i dont actually know that.

them last 2-3 years.. and especially that ending.. made me legit want to kill someone

I can only imagine someone who started that show from day 1 and had to watch week to week
I did.

Actually made my mom tape the episodes every Thursday while was at work

I started like after the 3rd season.. so binged those 3 in the span of couple weeks during one summer.. and caught up with the write ups for the episodes and everything

all that BS about the details and the significance of all that BS.. I legit wanted to kill someone when the wheels started coming off.. was just like this better pay off

then that ending

I watch it once a year as well.
Every single time...
If I pressed play for sure would tear up.

It doesn't help that he looks exactly like my favorite person in the world who isn't with me anymore. Hits that much harder.

I gotta give it another shot, my interest dived after a couple episodes
It was OK, not nearly as good as EB&D.  But still entertaining nonetheless.

Band of Brothers is one of, if not the greatest miniseries of all time. Considered picking it but i always consider that a long movie vs a tv show, though.

Same here. My Grandpa was in WW2 and didn't really talk about it until the end.

Found out he got a Bronze Star for grabbing a Colonel and jumping out of a plane that had it's wing blown off. Always knew Granddad was an amazing human being but had no idea the stuff he went through and did.

The crazy thing is a lot of those guys did that stuff when they were just kids, not even old enough to buy beer.

Mine was as well... he passed before we could really sit down to talk about it.

I can still hear how he used to answer the phone when I talked to him. "Hey Cowboy"... greatest man I've ever known. I really can't put into words how much I miss him or what I would give up just to have one more hour with him.

I'm glad you told me about yours, thanks.

Exactly. I knew he grew up on a farm in Oklahoma, and after that he drove trucks for Allied/Bekins... but he never talked about his late teens/20s.

WW2 vets are legit heroes in my mind.

honestly, I didn't think it counted for this draft.. I consider it a long form movie too, rather than a show
