Remy Ma-shETHER***Nicki Minaj diss***

Actually if it was fire I would give her the props. Just be real, she copped out and ran and got 2 other pop stars 1 being the biggest in the world on a song and took a few shots. After what that woman said for 7 minutes I'm not giving u a pass for that. I don't wanna hear no more best rapper **** come out of her mouth. Just be a pop star like the rest of the crew, at least drake dedicated a whole song to meek and by himself.

I mean I see what your saying. But actually she didn't have to say anything at all. Only the hip hop heads thought she had to. But nicki and been real hip hop for a min now. Once she crossed over all them barbz don't care about this stuff you can tell by their reaction. She had absolutely nothing to gain in this.

So I personally give her props for even saying something. Especially since she just opened the door for Remy to come back at her. Nicki not built for battle rap. Remy's style is more for it.

Bars - Remy

Flow and everything else - nicki

Imo. And bars when battles.

Sales are important but also not important. Rap and R&B are fickle genres where whoever is hot in the public eye does well and those who aren't don't. Nicki was signed to YM during their high tide and being in a practically vacant lane on the hottest label at the time definitely pushed her. Let us not forget she wasn't poppin forreal before that.

Slaughterhouse as a group and solo all got bars but they aint what's hot right now so they'll never sell. If they had signed to MMG instead of Shady, they'd sell more.

Christian Laettner has an Olympic gold medal

All this sales talk is corny, never understood why hip-hop is so fascinated with it.

I blame 50

Pac and Puff were talking about plaques and sales way before 50 in their rhymes and interviews.

I remember NWA getting gold and platinum plaques presented to them during an interview. Not the same but it's viewed differently in rap.

you can't stop da rain with BIG w/ Shaq says otherwise.

Prefer "No Hook" with Rza, Shaq, and Meth

Was going to say the same thing.

You guys just want Nicki to lose and go away so bad

If that's what you're taking from these comments then you're really missing the point. Hell, I have the chick as my avy. If she would have came with some heat then I'm pretty sure most here would have applauded her.

I mean that's cool but I'm not in to giving participation trophies. U ain't getting no points from me just for responding. U claim to be the best, on the throne u gotta prove that. Yea she's a pop star but she still flap her gums and claim being the best rapper. Pick on all the little white girls then when somebody come at her mecl we cop pleas and make excuses for her hell even give her the participation award. There's a winner and a loser, she lost.

Nicki needs to give her spot over to Diamond from crime mob.

Diamond, dropped one of the most classic verses from a woman. As a precocious early teenager.....using a flow that would eventually become a staple in hip hop and R&B to this day.

Hip hop at its purest :pimp:.

Diamond BAAD too

Album still knocks. Song still hard. Saw many ****** get stomped out to this song and one dude get stabbed.

Not even, I don't care about Nicki. I'm a grown *** man, I don't listen to her music.

1. I wanted a real diss response, some **** with some bars. She talks all that **** and she punked out.

2. I expected a generic *** pop song with features and it's what we got.

Pretty much. People act you can't have an opinion w/o being a hater.

This is simple. They were throwing subs at one anther, Remy went for her throat and spit in her face, Nicki went to social media crying, Remy dropped a weak song, Nicki drops a weak.

I would smash Nicki over Remy but as far as hip hop she took a big L.

All I know is that Pap is going to drop a 20 minute diss song with no hook, addressing Nicki, Drake and Wayne.

Not the same

50 made record sales equate to the caliber of emcee you were to the public. As if you don't matter if you don't sell.

That was never the case before. The people who sold the most were the wackest(Tone Loc, Young Mc, Beastie Boys, Vanilla Ice, Hammer)

I don't think so, people were going in on drake the same way. Then drake dropped charged up, people went even harder at him. Then he dropped back to back and the rest is history
never understood how great Back to Back or charged up is being seen as.  Both tracks were weak and seemed to moreso  be carried by Drake's fandom than anything

- I don't agree, Bad Boy and Death Row started the boasting about sales, plaques and impact in my opinion.

- Charged Up was trash and Back to Back was a club song for the broads. Had a few funny lines but I wasn't ******* with it.

- Hot 97 trying to get an interview and probably will. Not sure what there is to D ride about the song though. Barely had any bars and they weren't ****.

I don't think it was trash but it was a female record. I played it once and never again. It was for the female crowd, Drake and Nicki funs were wet to it. Charged Up was trash.

Back to Back got props because

1. Drake wasn't the aggressor
2.It was better than Charged Up
3.It was Drake, who people never expected to drop a diss track, let alone 2

Yea back to back was extra average. But how it was executed along with the fans with the memes and Meek doing nothing. But having "twitter fingers"

That's what made it what it was.
