Remy Ma-shETHER***Nicki Minaj diss***

Real talk, Ether is mad overrated
Nah. And I don't even like nas like that.

Tip going at flip in 99 problems was pretty crucial too.

And yes, truth is mad grimey. Like straight up mean/bully status.

too bad everything TI said was a Iie, but nobody figured that out until FIip was way out the Iimelight
This.

Clifford got corny the more social media began to grow... it became more evident what kind've character dude was/is.

Ether is a very cheesy diss record. To this day I'm shocked Nas, as great as he is, spit those corny ABC, name calling bars. The impact is had was largely because Nas was the underdog and people wanted Jay to lose.

Takeover had Better lyrics, more quotables, more facts, a better beat. There's no completion really. I remember back in the day shocked that people really were saying they like ether better. I'm like damn dudes really want Jay to lose. And this is coming from a guy who's a fan of both.

Matter of fact. The Stillmatic freestyle was a hundred times better than ether. That **** was hard. And also jay has said in interviews (I believe Juan Ep?) that he feels that takeover is a better diss record.

Uh oh! They say the club is off the chain

C'mon son.

This was as safe/soft a "diss" as you'll ever here... dude went in the stu and dropped an Alex Smith esque "diss" just to say he did it, then went right back in his rat hole on mute.

No Vaseline
Dre Day
Takeover
300 Bars
Drop a gem on em
Truth
Hail Mary (50, Em, Busta)

In no particular order are in a league of their own.

I forgot about "Stay Strapped" another straight up downright disrespectful diss. You can tell jeezy adrenaline was boiling during that diss :pimp:

What's up was def raw. But no mention of the late great Bankhead Carlos.

"Well gahdamn, it must be 2 sides!"

Not the greatest diss but I still say that all the time.

Edit: saw 301216 mention it lol.

Ja did it to himself...If he woulda kept Em and Dre outta it he could have survived. Once he did that he had the whole G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath family on his ***...It was like 20 on 1

Hit Em Up is the GOAT because of the anger and passion. Song was full of disrespect. Rap had never had a song with so much disrespect and son shot a 12 minute diss video. It changed the beef game.

I love when people say Ether was full of jokes and not facts. There were mad facts in that song. I don't you don't understand the facts, you're either a Jay groupie or you don't know the real **** but he was clowning in there too.

Gucci's Truth is top 5 because of how disrespectful it was.

Remy's might make the 8-10 spot for me just because it was disprespecful as hell, reminded me of The Truth.

The Takeover is a dope song but not enough shots, should have made the whole song a diss record. He didn't expect Ether, I'm sure he would redo it if he could. Even Dame said they knew they lost when Ether dropped and he told Jay not to respond but he did because he was so hurt.

Real MF G'z is hard as hell, that beat and Eazy's flow. I love this song but F Wit Dre Day is a classic too. Both of those songs are so funky but disrespectful. I play these two often.

Hail Mary remake was dope. Sometimes I random yell AYO JEFFREY

"You know who, did you know what, with you know who, but just keep that between me and you (for now)

> everything said on ether

I love both but Jay was a Nas stan so that trump's Jay smashing his BM who he wasn't still with. Jay wanted to be like Nas in a way, asking Nas friends about him and ****.

Who says ether in real life?

I've lived in the "Hood" in Dallas, Detroit and Houston and never heard someone say "ethered" in my life. Only on Niketalk

^^^^ lol this. Never heard anyone in real life say ether. It's def an online thing.

But still nas washed jay in raps. It's just jay kept taking Ws while nas took meeks in real life

Maybe down there y'all don't say it but definitely ain't a online thing. It was a real thing before it caught online.
