i guess you could create a new account and spend 300 in store today.  it should reflect on your account thursday then you gotta signup quick.

I have FTL and FA (which I haven't done anything too) - I can't go to the mall in the next 15 minutes spend 300 and 225 and get the head start thursday morning and submit? Looking for help here

you could theoretically. the window will just be very tight

and that's assuming they update your status in time

You can actually lock in your VIP, and still change it when you get platinum. I've done it before. Where I had 6 mins. When why account updated I just signed out and back in the app and it updated to platinum

You could pull it off.

Increase your chances by calling each day to see if it has processed yet.  You could make it Thursday - I've had it show within 48 hours before.  If you don't then just return the items no biggie.

I have spent X to get the desired status (and returned after release the items) and it took 4-days for the app to recognize the update in status. The customer service rep noted my status update on the 3rd day but the app lagged behind it. For your theory to work if you spent $525 right now simultaneously in-store it would need exactly 72 hours to update on the app and having seen enough of the releases there tends to be some issues - there probably will be a request for an app update on wednesday/thursday, app will zero out/not reflect accurately what was there the day before. You can try to thread the needle.....

Debating if I should go footaction and spend 225 to hit that vip. the struggle lol

It might not update it time. For the Royals I spent 150 to reach vip on Saturday and it updated my status on Thursday morning. So it took 5 days
