ADIDAS X YEEZY COLLAB OFFICIAL 2017 THREAD *NO LC's PLEASE*

So more pairs to please fans will make these same fans lose interest in adidas? okay.

for every 1 of you collectors Adidas loses, they probably gain in hundreds of people who have seen a yeezy on their IG/FB feed and are now hyped at a chance to get the shoe in a few weeks.

They'll take that trade every time.
they are hyped because tough to obtain (and nice). Put them in all outlet malls and you kill the hype. period.

At least you will have few millions fans wearing them. and everyone's happy. Up until noone will care anymore. it's a marketing cycle.

What i want to know is if this is a brand new production batch, or a batch from the original product that's been held from the public.

Given the quantities people are estimating, this has to be a new production batch which leads me to think the soles won't be as yellow as the Feb batch.
Doubt it on both counts, the yellow soles weren't a mistake.

I'm guessing it'll be a different product number if they even really release the "zebra" CW. I hope its a troll act and the greens actually release. Not that I'm salty if they did re-release I just already have a pair and want those Greens meow. On that same note if the Zebras do end up comin I'm def going for a second pair to keep on ice...

I'm actually thinking .... it's apart of the original run and the late Feb release was just an appetizer. Otherwise this is gonna be a sloppy new batch.

This is the X factor on the resale of the OG zebras. Folks won't care for that batch and it's yellowing  if this new batch comes with mildly yellowed soles similar to the creams. Just my opinion though

Gonna be the same exact shoe, same SKU, same pulltabs, same sole.

Also, isn't the sole of the creams the same as the sole on the zebras? I haven't looked at my creams since I first got them, but I remember it looking about the same.

Creams have the same soles and it's not as yellow as the zebras, even tho they're showing a bit of yellow themselves.

The fact that the very next yeezy release with the same sole isn't as yellow tells me that it wasn't intentional and they're actively trying to fix it.

Either that or the shoes are in a different stage of the yellowing process based on their production dates.

Not wise to point at a Sith. The Darkside of the force has successfully clouded your judgement.

But yeah I'm included.

I got rid of all my Yeezys.  Can't wear a shoe some 10 yr old kid at the mall wears.

You can't wear the same shoe a 10 yr old kid wears, but you thinking like a 10 yr old kid though. You sure you're in your 30s?

"Jimmy bought the same shoes I bought?! Aw man! I can't wear them now or we'll look the same!"

lol yeah it was around the time before yeezy was just signed to adidas. Point is that boost was not out for significantly long time before yeezys for it to have gain a huge following on its own.
Man I debate this on twitter with NPD guys. They say Yeezy had no effect due to the fact that so many people who don't know who Kanye is wears them. My argument is that you can't do analytics on hype unless you started tracking sales the day Complex and Kicksonfire pics of Kanye wearing 1.0s went viral. It's a marketing cycle. For example I wear Boost dude to Kanye rocking the OG 1.0s. A few weeks later I cop my first pair and fell in love. I told my fam and friends about this insane cushioning. Now even my moma and sis wear them. They are die  hard Air Max lovers. This topic will be debated for years.

Kanye only has impact on what sneaker heads buy, not what normal people buy. Adidas grew like crazy in 2016 but for all the credit people want to give kanye for how big adidas and boost got, not one single boost model cracked the top 10 shoes sold in 2016. Adidas was number one with the superstar and it was the only adidas shoe on the top 10 list, and its boostless.
Industry analyst Matt Powell has just weighed in with 2016’s 10 best selling sneaker styles in the United States.

2016 top 10 US shoes, $$ rank: SUPERSTAR, JORDAN XII, Chuck LOW, ROSHE , HUARACHE, REVOLUTION, FREE RN, JORDAN XI, AIR FORCE 1 LOW, KYRIE 2 https://t.co/Obgr2Sih8l

— Matt Powell (@NPDMattPowell) April 3, 2017

According to stats from market research group NPD, the adidas Superstar ranked at number one in terms of dollar sales last year in the U.S., which is the world’s largest sneaker market. Powell elaborated, “This is the first time a Nike product has not been on top in more than a decade.”

While the remaining nine sneakers in the top ten were Nike styles, or from the brand’s subsidiaries like Converse and Jordan, it doesn’t take hard metrics to see that adidas has been picking up a lot of steam in the lifestyle market since 2015, and this upward trajectory shows no signs of stopping, with adidas’s continuation of key partnerships and collaborations.

Also, while we’re only in the beginning of April, Powell also shared some thoughts on 2017’s best-seller list.

I hope Superstar is not on top next year https://t.co/De9JTclZB5
