NikeTalk New Era Snapbacks will be available at Instyleshoes.com on 4/22 at noon EDT, 9 AM PDT. *RE

Btw there really isn't any "resell" on the hats

Maybe the first run fitted which I saw plenty but the 2nd run was pretty decent, slightly above retail

Don't think people will be reselling snap backs but idk
That's because we made 288 in the second run, double the initial 144 produced originally.

We have 50 for sale this time.

There was barely any on the resell market in general

Looks like all who copped actually wanted them. Love mine. Too bad NE doesn't really make any other fitters with cotton, the fit is basically perfect compared to the remake wools and poly crap :smh:

New Era makes a low profile 5950 fitted hat. The crown isn't as big and does not sit high. Maybe those can be used for a future run.

$75 for the hat? Welp, 3 strikes and I'm out. Won't be gettin this release either unfortunately

My fitted is already beat/faded, and it doesn't look like I'll get lucky this time around with the quantity of the snapbacks produced. Oh well, I'd be just as happy with a shirt since it seems like I'll have a better shot at that.

My fitted is faded cause i rep so much. Do you know?
Paid $40 for the last hat and will gladly pay $100 for the hat shirt combo.

$75 for a hat but only $25 for a shirt?

May try for a shirt. Ain't no way a hat is worth more than $40. I don't care what it's for.
Just to keep it 100:

You're not paying $75 for "a hat."  I paid $14 for your hat.  You would be paying maybe $15 for shipping/paypal fees, $15 for the ACLU, $15 for the NRDC, $15 for the EJI, and $15 for MALDEF.
Hats should just be $100
Unfortunately, this is one of those "no win" situations for us.  It's difficult to find a balance where we're generating a good amount for charity (and I shouldn't have to remind anyone that these are some very urgent causes right now) while, at the same time, making our fellow community members happy.

I know that, for sneaker fans, the concept of a demand markup is a sore subject due to reselling and artificial scarcity on the part of sneaker brands.  Some people will look at this through that same lens, but I would ask that everyone keep in mind that we're not "price gouging" out of greed here.

The cost of actually producing these hats won't even be recovered this time.  We're not trying to sell for the absolute most we could possibly get.  Were that the case, we'd auction them all off, not just a few.

The goal is to price the bulk of them affordably, discourage resale, and deliver the proceeds where we believe they're needed.

I appreciate it and hope that you're able to get both a hat and a t-shirt in your preferred size.

Yes, we will.

Sizes range from S-XXL, with no fewer than 10 per size, I believe.
Can you confirm how the shirts fit?

Are they like Nike tees or is a 2X gonna fit like a large?
It's been a long time, but I believe they fit fairly true to size.  Perhaps someone who won one of the recent auctions can offer their assessment.

Nike makes a lot of different types of shirts these days, so fit expectations can vary by product type.  It's worth mentioning that these aren't made of a blend or stretch material like some slim fitting athletic shirts.  They're heavyweight cotton.

Maybe we can get some exact measurements before launch.

So $700 out of pocket. Your pocket. That's wild.

Thanks for raising the prices to discourage resale. More needs to be done in that aspect within the sneaker industry

with their snapbacks what is an approximation on the largest size that snapbacks can fit? i am a 3/4 or 7/8 and most snap backs are pretty snug on my head

I'd like a shirt. But we will see. Somehow I got a hat the second time around, but it's a tad small :frown:

Meth, I understand the price for the hat. It is considerably priced from a supply vs demand point of view, BUT it is going to charity. I can dig it!
