Why would you go back to school and take out a 6 figure loan when you are already there and it is free? I never said they can't start their on business but not everyone is aentrepreneur and a lot of start up businesses fail.

Again you are assuming but even if it's not a rigorous major or class schedule that degree will open more doors having it than not.
But when prospects declare or leave they essentially suspend their enrollment so in theory if they wanted to come back, they could.

This vid just popped up for me on youtube so I gave it a gander. makes some good points. I can't say how talented he is right now or if he can be successful in college or the NBA, but he has shown a great amount of success at the national high school level.

Anybody ever seen the documentary At All Costs on netflix? It's about the AAU system that kids go through in basketball nowadays. Very eye opening. One thing I learned is that the high school season means absolutely nothing to these kids now. The summer schedule and their AAU squads is all that matters now. During summer you have all the NIKE, ADDIDAS, and UNDERARMOUR camps and leagues going on. One of the kids broke his foot or something and had to miss some time. His dad was like, "I don't give a **** if he never plays on his high school team for the rest of his life. Yeah he had friends there, but that's not where the money is at." You have all the college coaches not with their teams in the summer so they are able to actually recruit these high schoolers during that time. The actual school season teams are just a formality now. I bring this up because a lot of the sloppy play footage I've seen is from those high school games where kids could possibly not care as much.
(I know I know, we've seen plenty of absolute garbage AAU team footage before as well)

Unless Gelo can lose some weight, really improve his handle, develop a mid range game, and get more explosive, he is in trouble.

And some weird I notice about him. I think he might be really left handed on some DeAndre Jordan type steez. Watch him go for layups or the few times he had dunked, he jumps off his right leg.

Rusty got all the info... :nerd:

I do think Pops should chill with the "Shaq kids are wack, MJ kids wack etc" and playing MJ 1 on 1. Just doing a lil too much right there.

No.

Paul peirce is an incredibly creative and crafty ball handler, uncanny instincts for changing speed and direction.

Liangelo is a straight line drive guy.

paul pierce is one of my all time favorite players

I'm talking game speed

gelo had injuries this year also which had em looking more hesitant

I've been seeing all their games for a long time

gelo should be fine in college especially with jalen hands

not sold on Liangelo but Chino Hills didn't do him any favors. For someone as creative as Lamelo and Lonzo are, that style of ball works.

But Liangelo, because of his limitations, needs actual structure. As long as he sheds some weight, he should be fine at UCLA.

Getting a full ride to UCLA is not a fair trade for the amount of money Lonzo Ball brings to that school. Him going there for 4 years to be "prepared for the real world" is such crap. For the average student it's worth it because it sets you up to make decent money live a convenient life.

Lonzo Ball is going to school for a year because it's mandatory, once he leaves and gets drafted he'll be making millions per year which is much more ideal than what the average student grinds for.
even if it wasnt

he shouldve still gone to college for a year

he was not a sensation like that out of hs

if it wasnt madatory he definitely would not had been drafted straight out of hs

Gelo got the best jumper tho

the eyebrow cuts is a Cali thing tho? it kinda remind me of some warrior type ****

The youngest one needs to cut that hair. I hate that hairstyle so much and looks so douchey now especially how big it looks on him :x

Dude is 6'3?!

He dont look that tall on all the IG posts I see of him.

He's growing fast as ****. The most recent picture I saw he was the the same height as the middle one.

This is absolutely false, and you should be ashamed for saying something so wrong.

You should literally log out and create a new user name to disassociate yourself from the stupidity of this post.

In regards to the middle kid, I have a feeling he will have a solid NBA career...

Shooting is becoming a prized premium in the NBA. The games tend to be position-less at times, which gives opportunity to players who are less traditional.

I could see him having a ten year career, averaging 8 to 10 ppg... Jacking treys with his super quick release while shooting 40% from distance...

3* recruit and yall already predicting him to have a solid NBA career? Dude hasn't even stepped foot on the UCLA campus, and for all we know, his recruitment could have been a package deal for Lonzo/LaMelo....

He was definitely a big name coming out, best player on the best team in the nation. Undefeated Sr. year and won state. If the one and done weren't in place he would've still gone lottery last year.

That's not my original point though. My post was in response that Lonzo should take advantage of the four year scholarship UCLA is giving him. That doesn't do him any favors to stay all four years. Yes, they're giving him a free ride but on the other end of that he would be costing himself 3 years worth a likely $10M+. A portion of that $10M+ could be used to pay for the education later if he decided to continue his schooling.

Dude got 1.1M followers, even if the league and school dont work out hes set off IG alone.

He's a star man
