****The Everything LaVar Ball Thread****

Aside from just the sideshow Lavar has loved being a part of, Im pretty sure UCLA could revoke their scholarship offer to LaMelo if they wanted to. This kinda talk could affect recruiting.

Kid is clearly talented but at some point the toxic nature of this thing could lead UCLA to just say screw it and move on.

Would he get a scholly somewhere else? Of course but this would follow him around for a while and it wouldnt even be his fault.

It doesn't really work like that, and Lonzo would probably say don't pick him

They can restrict LaVar from practices (LaVar didn't mess with Alford so I don't know why people think he will do it to a NBA team), and they can't just ban him from games.

100% false.

They can ban anyone for a justifiable reason. If Lavar out there causing a ruckus or impeding the viewing experience of other fans, they can most certainly ban him.

Even if he's causing problems outside of the actual games, if they have a reason, they can do it.

This is all for naught though, aside from never interfering in his college games, he said he would not in either college or pro level. Lonzo is his own man.

Lavar is hilarious, you cant say **** like that publicly tho, he's really out here showing his ***.

Geez man. Please before you want to correct people look at what they are responding too.

I know they can ban people for justifiable reasons.

They can't just ban him as a condition to for drafting Lonzo. I was responding to dudes assertion that will have to be a condition of the pick

LaVar talking in the media. Given what he has said, is not a justifiable reason

I don't think it's gonna hurt dudes draft stock but it could affect his sponsorships.

Probably a poor choice of word to say "clause," but I didn't intend what I was saying to be interpreted that it was going to be a condition of the pick....the team that drafts him will figure out a way to keep distance between them and Lavar. Simple as that. We'd be foolish to believe that his dad isn't going to be a topic of discussion in the pre-draft process.

Slandering your son's teammates? :smh: If he does this in the pros? Yikes. Lonzo's been pretty hush with his Dad's comments but he better grow some balls and defend his teammates.

Whatever team Lonzo gets drafted by will definitely try to keep him out of the arena. Last thing they probably want is for ESPN to interview dude in the stands to get his take on what's happening in the current game. Some of yall may be eating up this troll act, but he's toxic.

You would sell out your father on a national level despite what he was saying when you were a kid?
He doesn't have to sell him out but he can't let ANYBODY say his teammates slowed him down.

Ain't nothing wrong with saying, "My dad was a lil out of line with that statement. If anything I slowed my team down and didn't carry my weight. Etc"

Lavar just need to chill with the extra ****. I want to like dude, he reminds me of older dudes I know but chill out sometimes. Build up your kids and leave it at that.

Should've kept that to himself , but let's not act like we don't hear the " white men can't jump , black men can't read defenses " sentiment all the time .

this is why you don't mix family and business. now your father is potentially going to be your agent and your face to the media, but you can't call him out publicly because he's your dad....

keep the two separate. keep the two separate. keep the two separate.

i hope lonzo lands on a team where an older player can take him under his wing and get him to flourish on his own. he's only 19, so i can understand why he's not ready to step out from his father's shadow, but it's gotta happen, for lonzo's sake.

I don't think it's gonna hurt dudes draft stock but it could affect his sponsorships.
thats where da money at tho
don't worry, he's got BBB and the billion dollar shoe deal.

Lonzo gotta grow up sometime. Your about to be a lottery pick in the NBA. Pops ain't gonna be calling the shots no more
Who is to say he isn't already "grown?"

And  @ Calling out your father on national tv being the definition of "growing up."
